Why is Simon from the 10th and Brossart and Campbell from the 10th in the regional tourney?

It is more of a "geographic regional" tourney than a "KHSAA 9th Region" tourney. Not sure if the 10th, or the schools in that geography, have a similar JV tourney.

Thanks, wasn't sure if baseball was aligned differently than hoops. I know Cov Cath hosts a similar Frosh tourney in hoops.

Beechwood 11-1

Definitely disheartening on one side but quite the opposite feeling on the other.

I didn't get to the game until the 4th inning because of work but from what I learned when I had talked to some of the other was that Birds had gunned two Scott runners at the plate before I got there and then I watched them gun another at home plate in the 7th. Some very good throws from the outfield tonight on the Birds side of things.

So CovCath plays Scott! So who won the Conner vs. Ryle game and the Beechwood vs. Simon Kenton

BTW great job JPA thanks for the brackets!

Tough loss for the Birds and a great win for the Eagles who hit the ball hard in the 7th. Birds almost pulled out the win with a diving stop by LF SO Brandon Hergott for the 3rd out, but the ball tipped off the edge of his glove and the inning continued.

Congrats on a great season by the JV Birds. Lots to look forward to next year for this group -- some at Varsity (where only 1 SR starter is leaving) and others for another year of "seasoning" at JV.

BTW -- Great hustle play by the Eagles CF to end the game. On a routine fly ball to LF, instead of running to celebrate with the RF, CF busted his hump to back up so that when the LF realized he had misplayed the ball and it was going to land behind him, the CF was able to dive and catch the ball for the 3rd out.
