May 1, 201214 yr The bigger Crime is everyone who voted for him because of who he was. So I am not mad at Richie. He did what the voters sent him there to do, live off what he thought was Fame. He had no experience. After word of his first term the same voters did it again. I live in Frankfort and see Richie almost daily. He has done far worse than this report shows. I am just glad he and Williams didnt win. Talk about a crime! Lack of experience gives you the right to be a greedy, unethical, selfish, megalomaniac who steals money from the taxpayers he was elected to serve? I don't follow that. Lack of experience is a reasonable excuse if you pass some poor laws or fail to understand how to best meet your constituents' needs, but isn't a valid excuse to be a crook.

May 2, 201214 yr So do we know if the Attorney General's office is conducting any type of probe into his conduct and flagrant misuse of taxpayer funds? And, if not, have they released a statement as to why? That would be a pretty disturbing precedence to set - let a guy come into office, abuse his position, steal taxpayer funds, show no sign of remorse whatsoever, and walk away scot free. Thinking that might not do too much to deter other idiots from taking the same kind of liberties.

Coop, I stopped by Conway's office this morning while I was at the Capital before my meeting with the Governor to ask him this very question. He was in a meeting with some people so I didn't get a chance to ask him directly, but I did ask his secretary. She looked at me with a half hearted smile and said "NO COMMENT" However, I did overhear some Legislature's talking about it. I have a feeling the answer is yes, but quietly for now.
May 2, 201214 yr According to the C-J this morning, everything has been turned over tot he Commonwealth Attorney's office. The C-J story stated that it could take months before the determination to charge or not charge would be known.
May 2, 201214 yr Couldn't disagree more. Had it been something that happened while he was in school then I'd say sure. What he has done as an adult should have no bearing on his accomplishments in college. I'll always remember Richie the Unforgettable. Not Richie the Politician(Agriculture Treasurer?) I agree.
