Sure private schools are better... Public schools are charged with educating every child who comes in the door. Private schools can pick and choose.

As to the thread topic, I love the mural. It is ridiculous that it is considered offensive. Now if there is another teenage of a different race who wants to paint a mural of their view on growing up, the school would most likely have no choice but to honor the request. Before you know it the hallways could be filled with racially differentiated murals lining the hallways...

Just sayin...

I find the mural terribly offensive!

Now if the family would've been shown owning a dog instead of a cat.....well, that would've been fine.

Beat me to it. I can't stand for the type of heathens depicted in the mural.
I'm entitled to my own opinion am I not?

Most people I've encountered that went to public schools are vastly unprepared for college and professional life compared to those that went to private schools, so yes, I do feel that private schools are VASTLY better than public schools.

Have you ever encountered anyone from Manual?

This is probably the minority position, but I think it's offensive because my 4 year old granddaughter could have painted it, and have done a better job. From where I sit it's graffiti and the wall should be primed and nice coat of "pumkin toast" painted over it.
