Hey Clyde I would be willing to bet that both Coach Holtz and Coach Huff have more hs wins than you do at the hs level. You do a great job at being a Monday night quaterback. Maybe you should just stick to it! Both Tiberi and Teegarden are top notch players. Tiberi was pitched to all 3 times and he had 2 RBI's Teegarden was walked 3 times and he scored 2 runs. So it would seem to me the top players will find away to get the job done and both did tonight!!! But since the game is over now it is easy for you to sit at your computer and say what each coach should have done. I am sure you would have pitched to Teegarden and walked Tiberi and things would have worked out for you perfect! In your little monday night quaterback world! Just saying

 

Believe the actual term is Monday morning quarterback. If you're a Monday night quarterback, you're making a lot of money, and a lot of people are watching you. Clyde could dig that. And if he doesn't want the gig, I'd take it. Guessing we'd both fail miserably though.

 

My point is, I think you're making something out of nothing here. Both are very good players. Very good. No one is disputing that.

 

Only critique I'd have in the coaching of this one would be, maybe go ahead and throw to each. It's a regular season game in March. I understand it's the coaches job to do what's best for his team to get the W, but I also know this a great time to work on situational pitching (hitting spots, not giving in, etc.), building confidence, and working on situational defense. If it's me, I'd probably like every batter to put the ball in play against me this week and maybe next. My team gets better defensively with each batter.

I think that's pitching to him. There were also fastballs mixed in, the kid can hit, you have to smart about it.
