This was Lincoln County's guy. If my info is correct, he was the only one interviewed for this job when it came open a couple of years ago. Asst. Coaches very outspoken about the dismay within the program, lack of work ethic, lack of leadership, lack of cohesion. Fights in the field house during school hours, fall break fiasco.... I really doubt this was a mutual parting of ways.

Probably not a good look to take the entire week of fall break off with no practice/workouts so coach can go to the beach.

I agree. Keep your hats buckled at all time while on the field, player safety 101. But losing your composure and taking your hat off on the field doesn't warrant being benched for the rest of the game. I would think the coach would give your senior captain more of a leash.

A personal foul is one play. One mistake. You're benching a kid for the game for one mistake? In the previously mentioned cases, you're taking your start basketball player out for a technical? Benching a pitcher for hitting an opposing player? That is nonsense. You have obviously never coached much of anything.

Where can I find these rules etched in stone?

You don't bench your starting quarterback (all-time leading passer in school history) for getting a personal foul. That is called coaching when you pull a player aside. I'm absolutely blown away if this is true.

I think his family had the academics that Boyle offers in mind when they decided to transfer. Danville must offer a better academic program for girls since his sister went to Danville.

Despite being an assistant coach at Lincoln County for a decade and a standout QB for the Patriots in high school, Rogers was spurned when the Head Coach job came open two years ago as he did not receive so much as an interview. Glad to see him come back and get a win against his alma mater on the newly minted turf. This one has to be extra special. Hats off to the Casey County Rebels who controlled the line of scrimmage and were the better football team.

My heart will be rooting for Casey County but Lincoln County will overwhelm Casey County in this one. I feel for Coach Rogers and how his time coaching in Lincoln County ended.
