Nobody watches ESPN anymore. Too much agenda pushing. Give me sports.

Big big question marks here. My gut says Warriors in 5 or more likely 6, but I wouldn't be shocked by the Cavs pulling it out in 7. Kyrie and Kevin are playing much better right now than they were at this time last year, KD has no finals experience and Steph has seemed to be absent these last 2 finals series. JR Smith and Korver will have to be playing their best ball all the time for Cleveland to win... One thing I do know, if the Cavs do win this series, then I will no longer have any doubt about who the GOAT is. If you can beat the last 3 MVPs I think that's a big factor.

Prayers to you and everyone else whose been affected by it. My grandmother died one year ago today while suffering badly from this disease, but I can assure you it took her mind long before then. Her husband also suffered from it before his death in 2008, and we still have voicemails from him on intears about how badly it messed up his reality. I worry about the day that it comes to affect my parents generation or my own generation, and pray a cure/permanent treatment is found soon.

I played college basketball at d3 Wittenberg University for 2 years. As a combination of a new coach and a freshman class of 13, I was cut from the team my junior year. After spending my junior year as a student assistant coach, presenting to the the coach a 17 slide presentation on why I think I have tangibles and intangibles as a player that would help the team, garnering support from my teammates, and being the only team member to attend EVERY offseason lift and open gym, I was denied by the head coach the opportunity to tryout again. I'll be a student assistant coach again this year because I support my teammates and love the game of basketball. Not a day goes by that I don't hope my coach calls me and says he'll give me another shot. I finally get it after hearing my parents for so many years telling me how lucky I was to be able to play, cause I miss the hell out of it every single day.

My dad is staying at the same hotel as the BlueJays in NYC tonight...small world. He took a picture with Luke after the team bus arrived late.

He can still make some good money. Shaq had his own brand and I recently read sold over a 120 million shoes at Walmart. NBA coaches pay absolutely no attention to Lavar whatsover. Lonzo will be drafted, and whoever is paying him 7 or 8 figures is going to quickly squash little Lavar out of the picture.

I'll reveal my college once my career is officially over :thumb:

I think this is a result of Sportscenter switching from a strictly reporting station to more of an entertainment product. They always have women reporting on men's sports. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that, but I'd much rather hear a former player analyze a coaches subbing decisions than Doris Burke. They constantly bring up equality and racism topics. Jemele on SC6 blasted Geno Auriemma for "sexist comments" after he stated that there are more men's coaches in women's sports simply because there are more men who wish to be coaches. It stinks because they basically have a monopoly on a TON of actual sports topics (press conferences, post game interviews, some highlights etc.) but I have watched a lot more NBATV this year than ESPN for that reason.

Covington Catholic's Aiden Ruthsatz commits
InItToWinIt replied to InItToWinIt's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
I coached Luke last summer. He's a bright kid with a great shooting career ahead of him. Expected from a player who plays for Mike Price for 7 seasons. -
Lots of Anti-Christian responses here. "I preach that all religions are delusional but I only attack Christianity." We, Catholics, who strive to live like Christ, believe that ALL people can get to heaven. There is sacramental baptism (with water), baptism of desire (explicit or implicit desire), or baptism by blood (martyrdom).

Awesome to see. Gotta play [some of] the best to become the best. Mick Cronin deserves credit. -
Scott's Kellen Smith Playing Overseas
InItToWinIt replied to Clyde's topic in Other Professional Sports
Had the opportunity to do a shooting workout with Kellen last summer. It was one of the few times I shot 500+ shots with just one rebounder. He's certaintly earned it to keep playing. Congrats to the family :thumb:
