  1. I agree with the board being dominated by people from NKY, but I don’t think you will have many of them saying Beechwood or Covcath is the prohibitive favorite for this year
  2. In Class A, I’m going to say mail it to Pikeville In Class 2A, I’m going to say mail it to Mayfield In Class 6A, I think Trinity will be back and will have the trophy mailed to them. That’s about the only things I feel confident about at this point. 5A will be the toughest to predict
  3. Collegefootballguy, what coaches at Covcath would apply?
  4. 5A is by far the best class overall next year and I don’t think it is close.
  5. You won’t get a good answer because the KHSAA will continue to be unfair how they handle the districts that get moved each year. I would love for Julian to chime in so I can poke holes in his argument
  6. I think it was an upset. SW earned the victory, but I think Covcath was the better team. Covcath almost overcame 5 turnovers and a miserable first half.
  7. SW played great and dominated Covcath in the first half. Covcath turned the ball over 5 times, awarding SW very short fields resulting in 13 points, and Covcath still had opportunities to win this game. I think the officiating was bad against both teams, but these two teams played hard all day long. I do believe Covcath was the better team and made mistakes they normally do not make, but SW made more plays today. Congratulations to SW on being the 5A state champions
  8. I think this might be the most lopsided game of the championship weekend. Beechwood wins 35-7
  9. For once, that actually looks very realistic.
  10. Covcath might be in the pig pen of a field down there, so the slop favors Pulaski. Covcath is still favored, but that one isn’t a slam dunk for a running clock in my opinion. The rest of the teams I mentioned should without question be a running clock. I hate how KHSAA does their playoff system, but I will save that for another thread. We have seen way too many running clocks with this format and cross-bracketing.
  11. Scott Co, CAL, Johnson Central, Beechwood, Mayfield, and Central all get the running clock.
  12. Bourbon county administration will get what they asked for.
