They were good in 2003 when they had Garry Williams at LT and Andy Clark at QB. We (St. X) scrimmaged them that year and we “won” 17-0 during the varsity portion of the scrimmage. They also beat Trinity in the regular season that year too.

Tough loss last night. I understand Keldon doesn’t want to commit a silly foul with LSU in the bonus, but his defense on that last possession was not very good, or competitive. I don’t have a problem with Tyler shot because it was early enough to where you can get a second chance shot, especially with two defender guarding him. College basketball review is terrible, and Cal is right. Goaltending at the end of games will become a reviewable...

Is that $12,000 the supplement for the football head coach?

At least from their released schedule St. X is playing in it and I believe it’s against Henry Clay.

Tough schedule as always. There are a number of variables when it comes to these types of schedules, but if you're a Trinity coach, player, or fan you know they're going to play top teams and not apologize for it.

A possible selling point for a public school teacher to leave and head to private is the stability of the current state retirement system. Also, you do have to think just how long someone is planning on working. I’m 32 and teach in the public school system and in theory I could move to a private school in my mid 30s and teach for another 30s and be in my mid 60s. Not ideal, but it’s possible. Is there a coach on staff CAL would promote?

It seems like the Purples think they’re going to be pretty good this year. Might be happy to go 6-4.

Saw many St. X games from the stands... I was in 3rd grade when St. X beat Henry Clay, 5th grade when St. x won 3-0 over Trinity on that freezing night, and 7th grade when I saw my brother and St. X beat Eric Shelton and Bryan Station in overtime. But for me to actually be on that “field” it was 2004 when we practiced there two getting ready for the state championship game against Scott Co. because it had rained all day Monday and Tuesday. Those...

Is it safe to say the lose of Taylor is too much for this current team to over come? The last few years they’ve had a post presence to help out the back court, but this year X doesn’t seem to have a big guy who can pick up some of the slack.
