  1. Yes, the decision was Wera's, and Hutton knewabout it but the bad news was delivered by Wera alone. As to the rules of evidence... I'm glad you got the humor in it... I was half waiting to get pounced on.
  2. I can confirm that Wera did it on her own. Zimmerman was not in the meeting and did not know about it until after it happened. My understanding is that Wera is the district wide AD and reports directly to the Super and not the principal. Thus, if she wants to fire Rash -- she can! Also, since this blog is apparently subject to the Ky. Courts Rules of Evidence I will point out that this information is not hersay. Although I'm not going to broadcast my source on here.
  3. Miller, the administration, and teachers did everything in the world to help that kid get eligible this year. He had time off from practice to study, extra credit assignments, and they let him have until Christmas break to get his academics back in order. In the end, the kid just could not make it happen. With regard to last year, the overall issue was constantly being ineligible or constantly being on the brink of ineligibility. The staff simply could not play him consistently knowing that he would not be available the next week. Eventually, he got dismissed from the team for another reason that I won’t go into out of deference for the kid but rest assured that the staff had no choice. Despite that fact, they tried to work with him again this year. Overall though, his lack of playing time and eventually not being on the team was entirely within his ability to control and he didn’t. Any suggestion to the contrary is ignorant of the situation.
  4. 37-21 Conner.... about 4 min left, Barker with a 60 yard run to the 1 and then Fogel puts it in
  5. Cooper drives down to near Conner goalline and Fogel intercepts a pass
  6. They were only 14-12 last year. If this team was in D3 they would have about 8+\- more cupcake wins and not be that far from where they were last year, at least in terms of record. They have also played a tougher non- dist/non-conf schedule. They definitely miss Fangman, without him they have no scorer. None of their guards are good enough ball handlers to create shots. So when they have an off shooting night teams pack it inside and they have an awful time scoring at all. The guards also kill them against the press. Also, while it may be true that only 3 of their 12 play football all three of those guys are in the top 7 and they also lost another football guy from last years team that would have contributed had he not decided to play only football this year (name eluding me). Overall, they are certainly down from last year but not as much as the record would indicate. D3 can hide a lot of sins.
  7. Kicking the extra point after the fourth quarter touchdown made no sense. I know extra points are by no means a given in high school football but I'd rather go down trying to make the 2 rather than hoping the other team screws up the extra point. I also have to question the tricky formation before Conner's last punt. They came out on fourth and 10+ with the offense on the field only to shift into punt formation and get delay penalty. Who were they fooling doing that in their own territory. Then they made it worse by false starting. All in all it just helped AC get better field position for the winning drive. I think they need to do some work on a down field passing game because they were getting single safety coverage with a 5 men front most of the second half and could do nothing to take advantage of it and just kept running into it. Good news is they are young and should be in good shape for next year. Great season.
  8. What does Lloyd's schedule look like next season? Do they play Beechwood? :fight:
  9. Does anyone know what the Beechwood schedule is, or at least a partial schedule.
  10. I was at the Game; I don't think Grant was that much better than Ludlow. The margin was due to the fact that Ludlow couldn't hold on to the ball. They had at least 2 fumbles and an interception, all of which gave Grant very short fields. But you have to give Grant Credit for not making many mistakes.
