  1. Would be tough for a coach that is vested in the public school retirement system to take a private school job. I would imagine it would go to a candidate that can retire from the state retirement system like Coach Wallace did a few years ago to take the X job, someone already in the private school retirement pool, or someone just starting out, college coach, etc.. Not sure how many years coach Scroggins has in the retirement system, but he would be a great candidate.
  2. Who will be making the decision? The current HC is coach and AD.
  3. Will coach Spurrier Sr. be at the game on Friday night? Could be cool!
  4. The best things about these polls and rankings in my opinion is they keep the conversations going. Our team doesn't have many members on here, and really we are still under the radar in the big scheme of KY football. Sometimes the truth hurts, sometimes the perception of our program increases our (my... lol) motivation. Trinity is the team in Louisville and Kentucky as well. It will take more than one down season to erase their dominance. I don't think many teams pound themselves on the chest for being ranked higher because its fleeting, but it sure does make for great debate! JR
  5. Great interview! I've always liked the idea of getting an inside look at the successful coaches and programs. Hopefully, there will be more where this came from. Belfry, Kevin Wallace, Coach Beatty, Chuck Smith, Chris Wolfe, etc... Great Job BGP!!!
  6. Loving All of This!!! #optionballisalive #honeyhush
  7. This game should be another physical one. Boone is always tough no matter how their season is going. Coach Thompson beat up on us in two scrimmages when we first took this job, before going to coach College ball. They are running a wing back scheme now that allows both the power game and finesse. They teach old school football (like us!) with a stress on fundamentals and toughness. The Dragons have lacked punch in the 1st 3 games of the season on offense. We have a bunch of things to iron out. We try to establish a team (family) concept in all facets of our program, and our kids have bought in. Hopefully it just a matter of time before we can hit some explosive plays. We always love coming to NKY for football because their fans are always passionate about their teams. Met a elderly fan two years ago that had been coming to games since he was a young boy. I cant remember his age, but he was giving us a hard time when we got off the bus. Y'all come on out, it should be a very competitive HS ball game.
  8. Football is the best team sport in the world. I'm so glad another season is back in gear! Can't wait to see how it all plays out. Expectations, honesty, and reality are all such a funny thing. Here's to the 2017 season. Good luck to all the 5A teams. May your teams, fans, and communities reach every pinnacle in their wildest dreams!!!
  9. I hope this stays far away from KY! GHSA brings on private investigator and proposes controversial rule to limit transfers | 11alive.com
  10. The veer offense is a great offense. It has definitely helped us win a few games!!!
  11. My mistake. You guys are correct. I should have not posted so fresh off a loss. Just frustrated... This is the wrong sounding board. This is a great site and very informative. My apologies for any offended.
  12. We have a whistle and a jacket for you anytime you want to come and do what we have done at South Oldham. How about a "great season boys" and move on. This is why I limit my interviews with your affiliates. In my best Les Miles moment... I'm damn proud of my mighty fine football program. Look at we're we were 8 years ago. We will continue to work hard so just maybe we can get a little respect on this site.
