If they are going to use a stop watch to check the time that the timer made an error with 14 seconds to go, I think they should review the entire game and see if it occured any other times--maybe he/she let it run too long when a whistle was blown earlier in the game or vice versa. Human error--let it be and leave the 1.2 seconds on the game and play it out.
A third official would be ideal in every game, however, the home teams decides whether there will be three officials or just two. Unfortunately, very few schools request three officials for their games.
The Buffalo Wings and Rings in Taylor Mill is now Knuck and Futz, however, I think their wings and sauce are the same as Wings and Rings use to be. Definitely my favorite place to get wings in N. Kentucky!
I thought we put players in the Hall of Fame for what they did as a ball player, not as a manager. Pete Rose did not bet on baseball while he played the game.
I believe that Bud Selig is the one to blame on this issue. The season that the ball was flying out of the ball park as we watched Sosa and McGuire vie for the most homeruns, he had to know that the players were using performance enhancing drugs. Position players went from hitting 15-20 homeruns in a season to 45-50.
He let it go because there were fans, many fans, in the seats.
Asolutely--Pete Rose may have cheated the government (which he paid the price), however, he never cheated the game of baseball like Bonds, McGuire, A-Rod, etc.
