The head coach at Madison Southern could be at fault for gross negligence of the rules. KHSAA could be grossly negligent for knowing about the incident and not stepping in to address it before something occurred. I asked for more information about the football program, not for Riddle's job. Bring on Damien Harris and the Eagles. I have stated before that in order to be the best you have to beat the best.

Play "what if". Hypothetically, what if a player from GRC gets seriously hurt in 10 days during the scrimmage? What form of liability, such as gross negligence, could Madison Southern and the KHSAA incur? GRC just began hitting this week per the instructions from the KHSAA. Would the KHSAA want to act in advance of this scrimmage to shield this possible liability away from them?

You aren't sounding like a jerk. This is a very valid argument. However, the KHSAA does not come out and say that teams can go offsite to participate at camps. The KHSAA says that specific individuals can go to camps offsite. This is from earlier in this thread directly from Bylaw 23. Following the season and until organized practice begins for the next season, no football gear other than the helmet may be issued used by a member of the team for any activity except for the approved spring football practice period and issuance of gear to a specific individual for attendance/participation in a specific event at an off campus facility. "specific individual for attendance/participation in a specific event at an off campus facility" When the entire team goes to a camp it no longer is a "specific individual". It represents all individuals on the team. Synonyms of specific are limited, unique, and restricted. Antonyms of specific are unlimited, ordinary, and normal.
