The most impressive thing about this win was that Williamsburg lost to North Laurel and twice to Corbin just before this game. Wburg didnt let this effect them at all and just came out and took care of business. Way to go Jackets!

Since Wburg took the JV yeah... It was a JV doubleheader because Wburg's coach wanted to give some of his upperclassmen some time off, but youre right in all honesty.

Williamsburg did not take Root, Witt, Will Moses, Durham and Ghantous and played Shelley in the outfield and pitched a kid who had not pitched in several years, Williamsburg considered the game a JV game as a few of their players did not even go and Cumberland pitched Chamberlain and lost 11-6 and then played another JV game and lost 12-2. Originally on the schedule this was a varsity adn JV game but not two varsity games., Also where was the score of the Whitley Co. vs. Cumberland game as I read in the Times Tribune that Cumberland was shut out 10-0 by Whitley?

Williamsburg came back frome a 5 run deficit against Harlan in the 13th region all a tourney. Wburg scored 4 runs in the fourth, and then ended up winning the game 8-6.

Grimm walked a few... i think it was around 5 or 6.

Paintsville pitched Grimm. The lefty, number 8. He threw the ball well. Williamsburg only managed 4 hits against him but hit nthe ball when it counted.

Williamsburg pulled off a huge win tonight. Witt threw two pitches, and on the second had a bullet shot hit right off his throwing arm elbow. Scarry moment for the Jackets, but he stayed right in there and next inning hit a double to the wall to give the Jackets a 1-0 lead. Paintsville faught back in the 7th scoring two runs, but the Jackets defense was very clutch tonight. Congradulations to the Williamsburg!

They are starting to round into form. I saw where they beat South but I'm sure Smith was not the pitcher.

Witt and Hamlin sure did play on the same little league team and have remained close friends. I look for both games to be close and interesting. Good luck to both teams

To be honest I really don't like Williamsburg Football... and what does football have to do with baseball. Congradulations on winning in football, but guess what? You lost in baseball!

Could there be another district split or will one team take both games? Both games should be very interesting to watch, depending on who pitches.

Still that is just one run. Williamsburg won by two. Scoring that run wouldn't have done too much to slow them down. Im not taking anything away from Halran, good team also, but Williamsburg won. Welcome to life! Everyone cant see everything so the ump called what he could see, and obviously it was in Wburgs favor.

Williamsburg pitched #3 Will Moses

Williamsburg won the 13th region all a tonight. You cant count them out. They can hit and have two very good pitchers. If the defense fields the ball and They hit the ball all game, then Paintsville will have a tough time. Baseball is a funny game, anyone can win.

Williamsburg always seems to take a while to get going. Aaron Root hit the ball well tonight, JT Shelley threw a great game, but errors killed them, and Geoffery Witt came in to pitch three solid innings and get two bunt hits with an rbi to help his team. Jackets played small ball. If they hit the ball out of the gates, who knows how good they could be.

Williamsburg is a very good offensive team, it just takes them a while to get started sometimes

This is the way Middlesboro should be playing. They are a much better team than how they are proforming

From what I hear Williamsburg will be pitching Shelley and letting Witt come in in relief. It doesnt matter who pitches first, these two together are lethal
