Originally on the schedule this was a varsity adn JV game but not two varsity games., Also where was the score of the Whitley Co. vs. Cumberland game as I read in the Times Tribune that Cumberland was shut out 10-0 by Whitley?

According to the Corbin Times Whitley did beat Cumberland 10-0 in 6 innings. John Smith was quoted as saying his team is starting to play well.

You criticized Harlan for making excuses when they lost, then you come up with a top 10 list of excuses for why you lost to Cumberland.

Since Wburg took the JV yeah... It was a JV doubleheader because Wburg's coach wanted to give some of his upperclassmen some time off, but youre right in all honesty.

The Harlan game was for a regional championship.

Williamsburg had no problems, just gave the seniors and some juniors a day off. Since the Jackets haven't had alot of JV games this was a good idea by Coach Strcklin. Not to gloat but critisize the Burg all ya want, we'll be at Applebees May 5th!

Well they were told Williamsburg was not bring 5 starters. They played another starter as a EH then try to take credit for two victories against a JV team some of those kids had hardly played, but I did see riherds took one game off as the original schedule showed one varsity and one JV game.

Going to rant for a second....Get tired of Williamsburg not getting much credit...I've seen alot of games and teams this year...I bet every team I've seen would love to have a Shelly and Witt on the mound, and if there is a better defensive catcher who hits like Root I haven't seen him. I bet both the Moses boys would help any team as well. Gee this Williamsburg team just mught be decent afterall....lol

It's probably the best Williamsburg baseball team in at least 25 years. I can't remember a better one.

Do you think this team is better than the one they had two years ago? Andy Greer, Matt Jones, Root, Witt, Brent Foley, Cody Harrell. These boys made it just as far, but I do agree with that statement... these boys have definitely improved from last year to this year.
