Ferguson is 55% with over 450 attempts.

I don't see anyone else anywhere that can hold up a 40% average in 200+ attempts.

Ferguson is also 80/204 on 3-pointers

Did you watch the Elliott vs. Ballard game on t.v.?

I've never seen Jenkins play, but I would have to see it to believe it if he's better than Ferguson.

Jonathan Ferguson is the best shooter in the state - it doesn't matter if you guard him or leave him open. I would put him up against anyone and he has over 3,000 points to back me up.

This will be a very competitive game - arch rivals, playing for the survival of their season, East at home, yadda yadda yadda... I could see East jumping out to a lead in the first quarter, Elliott winning the 2nd and a close game at the half. Then Elliott getting an 8-12 point lead in the 3rd and holding on in the 4th for a 10-15 point victory.

And I'll add that all of these teams have alot of work remaining just to make it to Rupp. Scott county will be facing some very good teams in their own region.

I agree 100%. Elliott had some doubts with scheduling, etc. They handled those doubts by showing they can beat the big boys. They have to be considered one of the favorites, but they have a difficult draw and a short bench. Both factors will make it difficult, but not impossible, to win 4 games in a row. That being said, I'll pick Elliott to win the whole thing.

There's a lot more to this team than wins and losses and that can't be taken away or tarnished.:thumb:

What this team has accomplished far exceeds the accolades on the basketball court.

They're already done plenty, IMO. They haven't came up short on anything.

I didn't start the thread and I would use the same caution regarding Elliott county.

Just a few points I want to make about your post. Its just too early to be naming the teams that will be playing Rupp. There is no guarantee that Scott County, Holmes, Elliott, Shelby Valley and Anderson will even make it out of their districts. If I were predicting though, I would give Elliott and Shelby Valley the best odds of making it.

I did want to add to my post that they still have to get 4 wins before we even need to worry about the state. They are going to have their hands full in the first round of the district tournament.

I read on another thread that "it is worth the price of admissions to watch Dale Ferguson during the game..." :lol:

I like their chances to win the whole tournament. The only thing I don't like is their draw. They will have a very tough road to the finals.

East is going to be a tough first round game for Elliott County - especially at home.

There have been teams a lot better than Holmes that haven't made it out of their district tournaments in Kentucky. I wouldn't reserve my rooms just yet. Just a word to the wise.

I'm not in agreement with the BGP poll this week. I think Elliott is a top 5 team.
