Polar Bear Facts

I was also in attendance last night and to me blaming a pep band for losing a game is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard in my 9 years with high school basketball. The band was actually pretty awesome. They played well and I have never seen a band that would sing the rest of the song that they started at a half time when play resumed. Very impressive group of kids I think. As far as the game goes some would say that the bears have given up since the draw in dropping 3 out of 4 games but two of these were very close and the game last night wasn't a blow out either. The shots just aren't falling for them right now. The referees were good and I wouldn't blame them for any of those losses either. The bears have had a great season so far and I hope that they will pull it together for Friday nights game against Calvary Christian to end the regular season on a win. It is definately much deserved at this point and I think the players will be fighting for it.

Yeah, URIT. A fan did throw the bottle and a sr administrator was trying after the game to find out who did it. I don't think anyone would say! Was pretty bad and disrespectful from our fans who aren't usually that way.

While the season is coming to an end this group of Polar Bears have been a great group. The people in BC will miss them after graduation. The overall record between Deming and Bracken is currently 130-33 with Bracken holding a commanding majority. Still this will be a close game all the way. The devils beat the bears early in the season but I still think that the bears will come away with a win for the final boys game in the igloo this season. Coach Fite had a great year and will post a wining record for the bears for the first time since the 96-97 season.

I feel sorry for the timer in this one.

The BC boys know that the season isn't over. They are gonna play hard til the end. I have seen stranger things happen in tournament time.

Yeah I am going to go with Budda from Bracken as well

I believe Bracken will take this one as well. The bears have let a couple slide and are really looking for a win to get back on their feet. As for the 2OT comment I sure hope not Bracken has a losing record overall in 2OT.

From what I can tell Bracken's record in the Fieldhouse is 12-69 overall and 4-16 in the last 10 years. Most recent win there was in 2005 against St. Pat in the MCIT. Last time they beat Mason there was in 1998.
