Lewis really brought a lot of people last night. Very good showing by their fans. They had as many people there as anybody else outside of Raceland.

OK. Sorry guys. I thought you were talking about this game. You're right that emotions were very high for both teams but there wasn't any taunting during the game. I loved the spirit both teams displayed and it's what I would expect for the post season.

Wow. I can't believe somebody commented about kids celebrating a victory. When you have to fight so hard for a handfull of wins in a season each one is pretty special to the young men. I thought it was pretty neat to see last night.

Raceland actually hung in there very well in this game. Just watching the game it seemed that Lewis would be comfortably ahead, but I'd look at the scoreboard and Raceland was always down in the just the 4-8 pt range. Whenever Raceland would close the gap, Lewis would always make the plays to get a little seperation. It was back and forth most of the night. Lewis was just a little too tough for the home team.

Here is the young man that hit the winning free throws being carried off the floor. It was a heck of a spirited envirenment.

Wow. This was a heck of a game to witness. As bad as Russell has been all year this has to be extremely sweet to knock off GC. It looked like Russell had the game won and then Greenup hits a shot in the last seconds to send it to OT. THen Greenup has the lead by one and the kid from Russell who had just missed a free throw steps up and makes two. It really was a great game. I personally thought the officials did a pretty good job in the game. I wondered myself why Greenups bigs didn't stay down low and try to gain position which would have led to easy buckets. I didn't see all of Russells games this year but this was easily the best they played in the games that I witnessed. Good job Devils and good luck against Lewis.

Elliott by 20+. East hasn't given any reason this season to think they can challenge Elliott, unless Elliott has some players out injured or ill that I don't know about. West seems to be more of a threat than east.

Thanks Ram. Should be two dandy games. This is probably the most evenly matched district where I wouldn't be surprised to see any four of the teams come out on top.

Rose Hill mom, you were the only believer on the prediction thread. All of the elliott co. people picked West by 17 or more. Got any stock tips or lottery numbers? =) Congrats to Rose Hill on a big victory over a very good WC team. Perhaps they are rounding back into form after a few week run where they kind of lost their way. Not good news for the kitties.

What time do these games start? I know there are two games that night, or I believe there is.

This game ought to be a dandy! I'm looking forward to seeing what Elliott can do against a fellow contender for the State title. I will say it's going to be awfully tough to beat Elliott at home for any team. Since Ballard doesn't have a big edge inside I think that Elliott may pull this one out at home. I just hope both teams bring it and really put on a show since this will be on TV. I hope Elliott represents the 16th well, win or lose. I'm sure they will.

Nice win and game for Raceland! They executed a good game plan by collapsing on Gregg with about three players everytime Rose Hill tried to go to him and caused what seemed like about 50 turnovers (this is exaggerated but there were a bunch). Their defense was very effective and the difference in the game. Just have a few pics from the game. This one is of Barker going in for a bucket.
