Final.

Raceland didn't have their leading scorer, Tyler Boyles, due to illness. Raceland played good TEAM basketball, and played strong defense to force some bad shorts.

 

Rose Hill lead the entire first half. Raceland came out and played very well in the second half and lead a large portion of the second half. Great effort on Rose Hill's part. I am sure they will finish the season strong.

That's what happen when you go away from what got you there.

This was a true team effort on Raceland part to win without Boyles. Jeremy Barr had a tremendous game, at 6' he was all over the boards. He played with a lot of heart. Darius Jackson had a very good game. Cody Barker played very hard and probably lead in scoring. Todd Selvage, the lone senior on the team tonight, had a few key scores, and several rebounds. A good game for the Rams.

I haven't seen Rose Hill play, but I have heard they are among the top teams in the region. I have seen Raceland play and the fact they won this game without Boyles is a huge surprise. Did Rose Hill have all of their players?

Needless to say this was a great win for the Rams. Also, being w/o one of the best players in the 16th region in T. Boyles makes it all the more impressive.

As far as I could tell, Rose Hill had all their players. It was just a workman type game. It was not flashy on Raceland's part, it was just blue collar basketball.

Maybe the rest of the Raceland players are better than they show when Boyles is out there. Sometimes when a team has a player like him, the rest of the team can fall into the habit of just watching and waiting for him to take care of things. This is a really good win and should give them more confidence heading into the districts.

^ This one will really help Raceland with a confidence boost knowing now that they can win vs. a good opponet with Boyles out. A confidence boost like this and getting Boyles back imo just may be what they need to get them on a run going into the district.

The 63rd should be one heck of a good tournament. BTW, I have probably missed it but where is the district being played this year?

Myself and some other fans talked about this very point at the game. It seems that with out Boyles, the teams knows that they have to play harder and step up. With Boyles, they know that he is going to do a lot of things, and maybe relax a little.
