  1. I feel that the Colonels should have showed vast improvement this year. After all, didnt they return like the whole team and only had 1 descent player graduate? I compare them much to my Panthers. Even though they beat my team, I feel that this season has been a disappointment for both teams. There is a major youth movement in the 13th. Corbin, Knox, North, Clay, Williamsburg just to name a few. This cannot be the Colonels out forever!
  2. Who does Clay play in the district? What is the rest of the district games look like?
  3. My Panthers are really struggling right now. This is a bad time of the year for this to happen. I agree Breeze, that Central should be a better TEAM than they have showed this year. However, that is what generally happens when you play so many young kids. Not to mention, Elam plays a pretty good schedule.
  4. @ Southwestern , spells bad news for my Panthers! SW. 66 KC. 52
  5. Not pointing blame on Deaton at all!! Get as much as you can! It just appears that Whitley's problems runs much deaper than a coach.
  6. The khsaa has them at 8-17. Seems that they have blown more games than they have won. Right now, from what I hear is that Deaton is averaging $10,000 + per win.
  7. A good win to get back on track for my Panthers!! Lets get things rolling Elam!!
  8. My problem with this huge recruiting class is that Tubby basically got 2 of the same type of players in Bradley and Crawford. They are both shoot first, drive second type players. They are both around 6'3". And to be a shooter first, neither are great shooters!
  9. I think that is problem number 1!! We have a bunch of shooters and 0 makers!! I dont think Perry should ever be allowed to shoot the 3 ball.
  10. All this mess over a game!! Dang ya'll I thought high school basketball was for the kids.
  11. He would have to move more than a couple of miles north to join the 12th.
  12. With South, Whitley, and Corbin all having the same district record, anyone know how pairings came out?
  13. Interesting question here. I think that the age level of the child is very important here. For example, middle school kids play because of the sheer love of the game. When a coach continually punishes these kids, then I think there is a problem. Ive seen many kids quit because of fear of the next practice after a tough loss. However, it is a different story at the high school level. A coach must get the most out of each and every player. I actually feel that most kids need more running. JMHO.
  14. Coach Elam is the man! I wish these groups would just let the man coach. Im so sick of these little groups. Makes me wanna get Allupinya!!
  15. So, let me get this straight. Most, if not all the kids, coaches, and parents were involved in a school board meeting, (which im sure was very emotional due to the fact of involving players and coaches) from 5 o'clock pm. Monday till 5 o'clock am. Tuesday. Im sure the kids had to go to school the next day in order to be able to play. Then try to suit up and play a game at Whitley? Not to take away from Whitley, because any win for that young team is good, but this had to be a great effort from N.L.
  16. Coach Elam has got us going in the right direction. 2 big wins in a row. Lets keep it up and get B'ville in the district.
  17. Look for Corbin to start playing better. They don't win this game, but they do play better.
  18. A big herd on now. All we need is a lion chase!!
