Is Cov Cath all male? If so, I assume they do not have cheerleaders. It seems that the cheerleaders now are more interested in performing than leading cheers for the students. I applaud Cov Catholic for their student led cheering section. I would love to see a place for cheerleaders who lead cheers and a different venue for those who want to perform.

This might need to be another thread, but how many other regions have split sessions where fans have to pay admission to two games a night in the first round and semi-finals? How long has this been done in the 10th Region? This certainly creates more revenue, but it has to be a financial hardship on the casual fan, heck even the dedicated fan. Does the 10th Region sell a discounted ticket for the entire tournament? Also, it doesn't seem like increasing the ticket price would be passing on Montgomery County's needs, it sounds like it would be passing on the needs of the other schools since the money is split.

I agree with you John Boy, but I was addressing whether the Montgomery Gym could handle the 10th region tournament, not the coaching of either or any program.

I have to wonder why Montgomery Co administration would even want the tournament - the fans that want it at Mason seem to be determined to make it fail and if the money is split between everyone fairly there appears to be no financial advantage to having it at any particular school, although I would think any host school has expenses that can't be accounted for (to be fair - possibly income too). I would guess the new gym at Montgomery County wasn't built simply to host the 10th Region tourn once a year, surely the size of the gym was chosen based on other factors besides keeping up with Mason. It is nice that the money was spent on a facility for students and players not on seating that is only filled to capacity a few times a year. Mason County built a state of the art gym when it was built, Montgomery County did the same. They were just built 40 years apart therefore it is hard to compare. True it sounds unfair for Mason to have home court advantage for 40 years, but I doubt this is the reason they have a good team. Sure, it would be nice for them to have to travel to play games just like everyone else. Bottom line is "Are you picking where you play the game based on the needs of the players or the wants of the fans?"

Why do they split the sessions at Mason County? Is for the additional money or lack of seating? Does any other region have to split the sessions?
