Iron out your panties Old Rambler - I was saying Bath matches up with LCA better than Bath matches up with Raceland. Just giving the Rams some credit. Eagle Eye - they did take #42 Denkins to the hospitol for some test but all is OK. He took a pretty good hit to the head. Steven #3 took a shot to the side of the knee and bruised it up - the UK trainer looked him over pretty good at halftime and ran him through some drills. He said it was simply a bruise and Stevens said it got pretty sore in the second half.

Thanks Eye, I see the District shaping up like this: Lexington Chistian Raceland Bath Paris It hinges on this Friday Bath and Paris match up. And that game may be decided on Stevens' health and whether or not Dumphord want to play every other play or every fifth play. I still say Bath matches up better with LCA on a dry field rather than Raceland. By the way, in two weeks when Raceland travels to Bath Co. they may have to play in the parking lot - that field took a beating Friday night - it didn't have a good stand of turf to begin with - being constructed earlier this year.

I always felt like if you have a good passing game already - a wet or muddy field only helps because that is one more step you gain on the defense. I doubt Rains was planning on throwing much regardless of conditions.

I made the same comment last night Eye. A lot of people don't realize the importance of a good kicker. LCA sure has one - as most private schools do. Bath made a lot of poor decisions on kick / punt returns. They had to put in a new kid in place of Stevens on special teams and it is tough to teach a kid how to judge whether or not to return on the fly.

You guys may not have been at the game but the O line is who deserves the props here - Hayden was 5 yards deep before being touched everytime they handed him the ball. He is good and going to continue to get better, but the o line was too much for Bath. They had a misdirection play they ran for hayden, the line would block down and Bath went with the blocks every time insted of sitting. Stevens banged up his knee and Bath's best line backer went out. They are a better team than the score showed. The mud hurt Bath more than I expected. I think overall Bath had more speed but the mud hampered that. Good luck to the Eagles from here on out.

People around the program really had a good feeling about this Bath County team before the season. Coach Reed Fields has put a lot of work into the program. The kids worked hard in the off season keeping in shape. Now that hard work looks like it is paying off. 4 and 0 for the first time in nearly a decade. I think Wayne Stevens has a big night on the ground and I think Bath Co. has the speed in the secondary to contain the passing game of LCA. Bath Co. 20 LCA 14

Bath Co. controlled the tempo the entire game. Fairview gain only 4 first downs on the night. I don't think Fairview ever made it inside the Wildcats 30 yard line. I was very surprised and impressed with the way the Bath Co. squad came out of the gate and kept the momentum throughout the game. Coach Reed Fields and Coach Juan Armitage had them ready to play. The Bath Co. Bandwagon is starting to get full, too. It is nice to see the support they are getting from their community. Way to go Wildcats!
