Just got the call. Said if not there by 6, don’t bother. Will be sold out!

I’m so confused. What is everyone saying here. Keep coming up with crazier ideas and changing the rules until every team wins championship! Yippee! I mean I would think almost everyone agrees that 6 classifications in Ky is way too many and that was done so more can win. Man I’m tired of hurt feelings. We are headed down that same road of disaster. Just my opinion.

Dunn to Highlands defense is equivalent to Noon to Highlands offense. This pick could have gone either way imo.

You serious? Highlands has no speed. I'm talking team speed, they looked like they were running in sand last night.

Highlands had the same problem most NKY teams had this year. NO SPEED. And that's nothing you can overcome by coaching.
Wait what? Highlands has a ton of speed. Speed didn’t beat Highlands last night my friend!

Congrats to FD. Seem to be on a roll. Their District just the better district this year. CovCath, hang in there. At least you didn’t get “running clocked”like some like to boast about lol. Just sayin! Good luck rest of way!

No idea what happened on the fumble on goal line

Then a timeout wouldn’t have prevented that.
Sure it could have. You call a TO and do a hard count. They were coming! But whatever!

Yes for a td. Highlands is so slow in the punt process that if another team doesn’t see that, they aren’t paying attention.
-
Being “outcoached” right now. Everyone and their brother knew SC was bringing the house to block. What do the coaches in the booth do anyway. Call a freaking timeout!!!

Was glad this game got played. Heard Dixie was having problems getting enough players.
#5 Jack Price for Highlands played a great game at QB. Sorry but names escape me but #25 for Highlands had a game himself as well. Frosh season over now but some may get some PT in the upcoming first round playoffs. I think overall pretty good season. I think Highlands finished 7-3.

Kudos to To David Burleigh for eclipsing the Single Season Record for Field Goals and to the Varsity Football Team for a job well done and monumental accomplishment.
It was a great night for the team, coaching staff and community!
And hey, at least we are not talking about warm ups! 😙
Lol you’re right. Ever since it was mentioned about warmups, coaches have been involved. Interesting how that works! To say it was a bad look was an understatement to say the least.
just sayin!

Did Hosea play any. Didn’t see any touches.

Last night was for a single season. He is approaching the career record. I thought I heard last night that he needs 3 more for the career record but that could be wrong.
That is the one part of the offense that has been missing for years. Highlands has always had strong kickers. It’s nice to finally see kickers getting a chance. Great job young man!

Birds by 14 plus.

Originally I thought Highlands by 14, now I’m thinking by less than a TD. Cooper has some weapons. Should be a pretty even matchup.
Yeah I’m with you. Could be that trap game. Cooper sounds sneaky good. Jump up and bite ya! Good luck Birds.

They’ve never lost a game. 4 undefeated seasons in NKYFL, 2 undefeated seasons in MS. 9-0 this year.
They did tie Withrow last season in a scrimmage. Chris Henry’s boys can play!
That’s impressive!!!

Just heard some Highlands players provided some bulliten board material before the game on social media. All in good fun, but in retrospect, probably wasn’t a good idea!
That’s not surprising. Some of the social media stuff these kids post is amazing. Especially the lyrics of songs. Amazing!
Highlands for sure made Ryle look really really good. Is it true that this group of kids haven’t lost a game since like 3rd grade. I was told that by 2 Ryle parents tonight. Impressive for sure! -
Not sure if I missed it but how is the Pfitzer boy?

I look for Dawson Hosea to get lots of touches this week. Played his career game this past Friday when needed. I’m sure running back duties will be split with Giesler, who is a great back as well. Having a couple nice weapons like that can help balance the offense. Let’s see how the young OC handles it and mixes it up. I’ll have to get updates from my fellow birds as I have another game to be at for with my daughter.

Like I said the birds were going to embarrass the colonels...if they never had 5 turnovers, game would have been a blow out. Still pretty embarrassing when you cause 5 turnovers and still lose. It's time to give Highlands their respect.
Stop! It takes a lot more for 1 win over a CCH team that was not 100%. What main players are out for Highlands?Hey, I’m excited for Highlands and the boys for the big win, but this isn’t where this coaching staff is satisfied with. At least I hope not. Their job is to build Highlands back into a powerhouse year in and year out. Period. Not to satisfy people who once their kids play their 4 years and then move on down the road. Never to see them again. And that what was happening the last few years. Most of the HHS people that are on BGP know this. Just look how long they have been members. They are here for the long haul.
I’ll keep rooting for the Birds. And not worry about feelings!- 3
-
Interesting! So Colonels take 2/3 from Birds this year in regular season. All were close games. All could have went either way. So the parity is there this year. Here’s hoping it stays that way and there aren’t any more extended win streaks.

Great post but threatening to lose one?🤣See ya
Whoa! No one said threatening unless you know something. Hey if a kid doesn’t want to play or are unhappy with a situation, yeah I agree, move on. Grass isn’t always greener.
I’m sure the coaches at Highlands are above “pressure” from parents right? At least I would hope so.
All I was saying is I, me, myself would like to see the TE position utilized a little more. It’s never been a position Highlands has used a lot in the past so I guess why change now. Heck, even CCH underutilized greatest TE to ever play in NKY. Happens everywhere.
