It sort of falls into the same category as in the past when former professional athletes have come forward to help out and have been told No Thanks, "We are just fine as we are". As in the past and with the history of Highlands football, HHS has always been ahead of the pact in some sort of way, whether it was lifting weights in the 50's or scout teams in the 60's or junior league football feeder programs and military like leadership in the 60's and 70's. It all only works for so long until everyone else copies what you are doing and catches up and or moves ahead. I believe HHS is slipping a bit when it comes to giving the kids the very best available at all costs, especially in this case you could make an agrument at "NO COST"!!!!

I have just one question to the "in the Know crowd" Why is Ft Thomas school district employing Keith Faust as their Vice Principal for the Middle School but yet they allow such a young,smart, and upcoming coach to instruct at back to back state champion NCC. Why would we employ from outside the district when we have such great talent within. Isnt there some type of rule that says if a district employee wants to coach then a non-employee is out. Seems to me we should get what we pay for and get this guy on board at all costs before he jumps ship. I don't know if its just me, but seems like Coach Schneider gets the last laugh again.

I believe that the most storied High School program in the State of KY deserves better than what they have at the moment as far as a Off Coord / QB coach. Not sure how that application got shuffled through the process. There are coaches out there that could/will only dream what it would be like to call plays for these talented superstar players that can put up 40 on just about every team HHS plays. Its just not right that this is not the case. Nothing better than to see God given talent set free and allowed to do their thing. It did'nt happen in 2006 and unless the changes are made then it will repeat itself for years to come regardless of the "ALL AMERICAN" talent. PS - If somebody is in "the know" then pls pm me and make my 2007 a happy new year!!!!!

All the soilders are definately there, but will the General and his officers be able to lead the men? I am a little sick and tired of all of the excuses about this injury or this dropped ball or this missed tackle or even maybe the best one I ever heard, "We worked on our game plan all week long and they did'nt do what we thought they were going to do". The bottom line is until the General is willing to surround himself with the very best people that these great athletes deserve then its going to be another year of (hows this go now CovCath defense, you saw it almost 35 times in one game ) A Pat on the Head, one tummy rub with the right hand and a leg kick that resembles a crippled dog and wall'la a QB draw. That IMO people does not exploit these talented athletes gifts, nor does it win you State Championships. Somethings got to give in the offensive coord position/ QB coach. I hope the same mistake isnt made again in 2007.
