Could be. It’s funny how everyone always said nobody wants to play with Kobe. I think there is something to be said about the pressure of playing with someone who is clearly one of the best to ever play the game. People are scared of it. And the players love Kobe and LeBron. Doesn’t mean they want to play with them. Everyone talks crap about playing with Russ but Paul George chose Russ over LeBron.

Agreed with the Warriors in 2019. Kyrie is a free agent next season and reports are that he and Jimmy Butler are working to end up on the same team next season. That could be the Knicks or the Nets or anywhere. Boston won’t win a title without Kyrie. I can’t commit to predicting their success without knowing where Kyrie is over the next 5 years. I can’t wait to see what happens with the Warriors next offseason. I hope they pay everyone the max and pay the luxury tax bill. That would be BOSS.

Kawhi can get the max from the Lakers when he is a free agent next season. But if he wants to play elsewhere........

I’m good with that. I’ve said since LeBron joined that they are playing for keeps in 2020. This season I just want to see them make the playoffs.

Every move in the league isn’t about LeBron but every move Golden State makes is an effort to stay above LeBron. He’s been the only thing standing in their way to a title for the past four years. Last year Houston gave them some issues so their moves are to stay ahead of those two teams. They know they can beat everyone else but they also know if they stay complacent and don’t make moves while LeBron and Houston are then they’ll get beat. I can’t help but feel that this was a shrewd and calculated move on their part. NBA insiders are saying players are texting each other about not helping LeBron out and going to different teams from his. If the reports about Kawhi wanting to go to the Clippers now are true then it seems even more plausible that LeBron is a factor in moves being made more than we think.

Why wouldn’t they make the same move if LeBron stays in Cleveland? They’d still have to face LeBron at some point. If we all know LeBron is working to get a better team in the Finals shouldn’t Golden State be making moves to maintain their dominance?

Kyrie had a lot to do with it but lets not act like Kyrie has carried teams to the Finals without having LeBron on his team. Hell, Boston made the ECFs without Kyrie this season. Who was Finals MVP that year?

This team is built like an 80s style team. Whether that style works remains to be seen. I don’t see how they can run the same offense they have been running and truthfully with LeBron I don’t know if they can.

If the Lakers still suck, I blame Magic Johnson before anyone else because if they don’t make the playoffs that means they didn’t get Kawhi and that is Magic Johnson’s fault. Now if they don’t make the playoffs and half the team is injured then there isn’t anything anyone can do about that. If LeBron does what he has been doing his whole career and the Lakers don’t make the playoffs whose fault is it?

Me either. So explain to me how it is making an excuse.

1.) I’m a Kobe guy. Always have been, always will be. Kobe is better than LeBron. Hell, I like D’Angelo Russell, Russ Westbrook and Cousins more than LeBron. If not hating on LeBron makes me a LeBron Lover then so be it. 2.) You’re really just going to ignore the documented fact that after the Cavs beat the record setting 73 win Warriors that Draymond Green called KD FROM THE PARKING LOT and began begging him to join the Warriors and say that LeBron had zero to do with that? 3.) LeBron Haters are worse than LeBron Lovers IMO because they refuse to give him zero credit at all. At least I can say that when I hated on MJ I gave him credit for being the GOAT. LeBron Haters are a strange breed. 4.) If Golden State was unbothered by the Lakers then they would have told Cousins they are good but no thank you. You can rationalize it anyway you want but there’s no way in hell they took on Cousins for the hell of it. They want to make sure they maintain their dominance next season and I don’t blame them one bit. Acting like a LeBron in LA doesn’t have anything to do with it is denial. It made too much sense when Cousins called. At the very least they have stolen all the thunder from LA and even that has something to do with LeBron. Y’all gotta let this hate go. It’ll give you high blood pressure.

I said the same thing on twitter last night. You can’t be a UK or Duke fan and mad at Golden State for acquiring Cousins.

But yet they stay scared.

They won’t sweep LeBron ever again. Had Magic Johnson not been an idiot they wouldn’t have Cousins and they would no longer be favored to win the title but Magic is an idiot, Bob Myers scooped up Cousins and now Golden State isn’t scared of LeBron again.

So they didn’t add Cousins to make their team better? If they are so good and don’t need any help to beat LeBron then why add Cousins?
