  1. Predicting is only predicting, not overlooking anyone, ever!
  2. That is correct. Ryle beat CC 34-7. It was a while ago and everyone can say that CC is playing better now, which I am sure is true. But, so is Ryle.
  3. Excluding post #42 this thread is laughable. For Fisky to even begin to imply that an injury sustained by a Dixie player was intentional is completely ridiculous and I would hope they would be suspended from posting something like that again. This thread was supposed to be about the GAME. What I find amazing is that Dixie has beaten us many times, and some years we took a pounding, and they spend pages of a thread talking about every little detail of the game. They talk about how great Dixie is, how inferior Ryle is to their program, etc, etc.. But this year Ryle wins,in back to back weeks no less and all they can harp on is the behavior of a few in the stands. Surprised? No. But disappointed? Yes. Let me refresh your memory for some of you. I could go back many years but I will start with last year Ryle v Dixie @ Dixie. Was it inappropiate for the cheerleaders to bring the sign they brought last year? Yes, but they are kids and kids sometimes make mistakes.I also remember last year that as all of the Ryle parents were making their way to the visitor stands, we were being pelted by little stones. Some not so little since a young girl with her mom got a chipped tooth. Even some Dixie fans that were obviously past high school felt the need to heckle and demean the spirit of competition. I remember years ago at another game at Dixie, the players were hit by rocks and pop cans as they stood on the sidelines. Then this year, Dixie's coach had to unbelievably, in the middle of a heated game stop play and admonish fans for throwing debris on the playing field. I am looking feverishly but for some reason I cannot find the "class" in any of those instances. But for most of those things they are kids and like i said kids make mistakes. Unfortunately there were adults participating in some and that is truly the sad part. Then at our game, the boy that ran through the sign should not have done so, I completely agree with you. But to rant on about that and excuse completely Dixie for not noticing the national anthem is absurd. I find it a liitle hard to swallow that a stadium full of people standing facing the American Flag did not trigger at least one player or one coach to let everyone know that it was time to stop and show respect. The fact is that the two teams had a great battle 2 weeks in a row, it was exciting to watch them all play their hearts out. Sadly, this time for Dixie the 2nd game was a do or die situation and they came up on the wrong side of the W that night. We have been there many times so we feel your heartache especially for the seniors who have played with absolutely every ounce they had week after week. The awesome thing to me was watching the players on the field after the game. Both sides shaking hands and talking to one another, being great sportsmen. Some were heartbroken, some were elated but they were all dignified and respectful of each other. We could all learn from their behavior. The players left it all on the field and we should too.
  4. A 2 point Loss in a near meaningless game sure has given you a boost of confidence..
