  1. Congratulations Wildcats! It has been a tough year. This was a solid win. I hope this brings some much needed confidence for the remaining regular season as well as the district tourney. The two players mentioned earlier are Zak Metz (5'10" at best) sophomore and Blandon Clemons (5'9") junior. I thought sophomore center Scott Trusty's effort was a key for the Wildcats in the second half. At least 6 of the kids on the basketball team were a part of the successful Wildcat football season. There should be around ten from this team that play football next season. The Cats should dress between 55-60 next year. The pride is being restored!
  2. The Wildcats lose 8 to graduation. They return several starters and others with substantial varsity minutes. These include; Metz QB/LB, Clemons RB/DB, Fryman TE/LB, Karrick LB, Baber RB/DB, Bromagen OL/DL, Roberts WR/DB, Given WR/S, Wilson OL/DL, Copher OL/DL, Goldie OL/DL, Wetzel OL/DL, Crouch FB/DL. Several of next season's sophomores should also be ready for the step up. You are correct oldonetechnique. I am sure there are lots of teams that could use another Stevens! Bath County 2007 Week 1 - West Carter** Week 2 - @ Lewis County** Week 3 - OPEN Week 4 – Williamsburg (not confirmed yet) Week 5 - Shelby Valley* Week 6 - @ Powell County Week 7 - @ Morgan County* ** Week 8 - Fairview** Week 9 - @ Clinton County Week 10 - @ Prestonsburg* Week 11 - Nicholas County** * District Game ** EKC Game
  3. Bath County - Julian Cunningham. He made some noise in the 10th region during the early to mid 70's. Two regional titles and one runner-up trophy.
  4. The Wildcats need to continue their hard work and dedication to their off season strength and conditioning program. Participation as well as the intensity level has been excellent for the past month. Last season's success has definitely boosted the enthusiasm throughout the entire program. It had been quite a while since their was any excitement over the Wildcat Football Program. Bath finished 2006 with 45 players (9-12). In 2004 there were 17 players dressed for the final game of the season. They should dress 60+ for 2007. The foundation is very solid at the youth level in Bath County. Very well structured flag and JFL programs (180+ kids in grades K-6) have been coordinated from the top down for over 7 years. The varsity should start to really benefit in a couple of years. The key for this year's success will depend on how well the leadership roles, vacated by graduation, are filled by this year's seniors.
  5. Bath Co. 72 Bracken Co. 64. A much needed win for the Wildcats. The Hall kid? #3 for Bracken is a nice player. He had twenty at the half.
  6. Not sure on the total amount but wayne did break his record his sophomore year and ended up with 2025 yards and 32 td's
  7. Thanks Rambler! I sure am glad to see that someone is giving Bath just a little bit of credit. I realize the loss to LCA did not help Bath. Although the game was somewhat closer than the final score reflected. I just cannot make myself believe that there are 20, let alone 33 class A teams better that Bath County this year. Maybe we can gain some respect with a good effort at Paris. Good luck Rams the rest of the way. It must be nice to have a bye before the trip to Owingsville!!
  8. Thanks for your concerns E/E. Congrats on the win Friday night. I hope we meet again this season. Good luck the rest of the way. #42 and #3 are fine they both are tough kids and will be 100% and ready to go against Paris. As you could tell, we definitely need them on the field.
  9. I think that BTB meant that Bath Co. matches up with LCA better on a dry field than they do with Raceland. I know that everyone in the Bath program has the utmost respect for the Ram program. We have had some good battles over the years. That is, before we hit bottom. I think we are headed in the right direction. All I know is that the Cats really need this one at Paris! It should be a great contest.
  10. I think the post is referring to Stevens. He transfered from Rowan County.
  11. Stevens had 156 yards rushing for two TDs and 106 in receptions in last night's game. Last week he had 103 rushing and a reception for a TD. He may be playing his best on the defensive side at safety.
