Muse did not have the game he did vs SHS, but those type of games don't happen every time out. He really didn't have to do much w/ Hines doing the work. He did, however throw the ball well. Well over 100yds passing w/ 3td's thru the air. Abner went to bone specialist Wed. The fracture that was found Tues. on X-rays turned out to be an old injury that had already healed. Said Dr. told him he had played, at sime time or another, on a broken ankle. Said he should be ready to play next Friday. Ellis was pretty good. He did not throw the ball well at all though. I think P.C. had 2-3 INT's off him. The best runner they had last night was #31, Coffey. That kid played a great game.

The boys are actually having fun for the first time in a couple of years. The team speed is there, the desire is there, the team "chemistry" is also there. Football is fun at PC, & it really shows. Not only is this probably the quickest team PC has ever had, it is also one of hardest hitting teams they've had. They fly to the ball & bring pain when they get there. Again, fun to watch these kids play.

Heard T.T. had a HUGE night. Saw him against Rock earlier this year. That kid has some moves. Is he the most mobile QB SW has ever had? I can't remember anyone from the past. Maybe Rico Perkins, way back in the day? T.T. gives the Warriors a whole new demension w/ his scrammbling ability.

Yeah, sometimes I think the kids would rather be playing Arena Football. The game was pretty much out of hand midway through the 3rd. Hines played a lot of youngsters tonight. It really is fun to see the excitement these kids show during a game. Winston Hines is FOR REAL. Had TD runs of 89 & 82 yards. Just out ran everyone. The 89 yarder came w/ :26 sec to go in the half. PC picked off a pass @ the 11 yard line. 1st play Hines goes off left tackle, hits the seem,& is off to the races. The safety had the angle, but Hines blew by him. This kid is fun to watch.

Winston Hines had over 250 yds rushing on 12 carries. Maroons looked sluggish at times tonight though. Hey, a wins a win. We'll take it.

So, I will ask it again, Have these two teams ever played each other? I didn't catch if anyone answered it. All apologies to anyone I may have offended with my unfounded earlier comment. I must learn to control myself and not do those things. From this point on if I don't have something nice to say, I wont' say anything.

Actually, if you take a look at the skill players on this team, they ARE JV age & grade. This team is still a very young team. I hope they continue to gell. This could be a pretty good team in the future. After the last couple of years Pulaski has had it is refreshing to see the excitement back w/ these kids.

Does the LCYFL still go by grade to determine it's divisions? I think the PCYFL goes strictly by age, so if a kid is held back it has no effect on the divisions. I haven't been over to the LCYFL field for a few years, do they still have the 80 yrd field for the younger kids? I always liked that idea for the youngsters.

I don't understand where the shot is at Taylor? They did not "choose" their district (nor did PC for that matter), but one team did, so they could be closer to home. And I feel that Taylor is probably one of the best teams in that district, so...

What about the McKinney kid from Central. He played at the same time Corey Peters did. I thought he signed with Michigan, but he wasn't on the list? Anyone have news on him.

Abner is in a walking boot. Said it pulled his small leg bone away from the ankle. OUCH! He's looking at anywhere from 2-8 weeks. Said he should know more after going back to Dr. Wednesday. Let's all pray it is not as bad as first thought.

Somerset begins their once again brutal district schedule. Somerset should win this one, but it will not be easy. Have these two teams ever played each other before?

Pulaski lost one of those youngsters last night in the PC/SWHS JV game. Freshman, Alex Abner, fractured his right ankle in the 1st Qtr & will miss some time.

Hey, I think the punishment was a little harsh. I think that having school spirit is missing in a lot of youth these days. This kid did something for his school! I think that is fantastic! I think I would want this kid at every atheletic. You want to punish him, make him be the mascot at every event for a semester - big head and all. Embarrassing yourself for the sake of the school would be more appropriate punishment.

Who stood out for LIncoln? I saw an INT on the highlights. Which side of the ball stood out tonight?

How many carries did Hughes/Shoemaker get? I didn't see the game and picked it up late in the 4th and from the radio it sounded like Somerset was throwing 3 out of 4 downs. Every time the Jumpers came to the line Berlew was saying Hall in the Gun. Which I understand. So I am wondering how many Carries the 2 big boys got.

Actually, the Oak Hill team you are talking about was only the Southern division champ that year. Pulaski Elementary beat them by 3 td's in the PCYFL Super Bowl. That was the year Oak Hill was known as "Team X" in the City vs County game. Something about the PCYFL not allowing a school team to play a city team. I think they may have even used LCYFL equipment to keep from getting in trouble. Truly some very talented kids in each league. It will only help the local teams get better.

The field WAS painted green in the worst spots, saw the man walking around spraying it myself.

I have said this before and I will repeat on this thread. The bigest Fault that Somerset - The Head Coach in particular- saying that this game meant more to Pc than to Somerset. Does this mean he didn't do his job and get them ready? Does it mean that he didn't want to play the original crosstown rival? Or is that he is arrogant and would rather -and I know I will get for saying it this way- throw his players under the bus than give PC credit for beating him. Again like I said, I have respect for the way his players played their guts out through cramps and fatigue, and by saying it didn't mean anything and that it was PC's "Super Bowl" was absolutely innapropriate and wrong! And no matter what Hines said after Cobb utter those words, He (Cobb) was wrong for saying that and should be appropriately Admonished for it by not only the PC faithful but also his own administration/fans. Again I know I will take it on the chin for saying this but I would have to question his commitment to the program after investigating any of the above scenarios. Either he did his job and got his team ready to open the season or he didn't, I would like to which it was, because I believe the guy at PC did his job and got his team ready and has stood by his team through all of disparaging comments.

It has been a while - Wow, I was a senior that year. These circumstances makes it a lot tougher for SW. They will not want to be that team in almost 20 years to go 0 for 2. This absolutely will be an exciting game! The warriors are at home, which is in their favor. Good luck to both sides.

The big thing to me is, why were those kids not fed after the game? 3 other teams got food that night & 1 did not. It doesn't matter that it was 2:45am, those kids deserved to have some food. And, yes, it probably is the worst field conditions I have seen. They actually painted the dirt green to cover up the mess.

Did the Howard from Belfry kid pay in the same backfield with David Jones? I rememberthembeating Owensboro Cath. without throwing a pass. An amazing game.

One of these teams will start 0-2. I can't see it being Danville. My apoligies to the Warrior Nation. Can an Admiral fan tell me when that happened last (0-2 start for Danville)?
