I have been given the names of the Raceland players who made the team but I will wait until it comes out in the paper. It is my understanding it will be out in tomorrows edition.

Todays local paper says the terms of the contract extension will be released after the first of the year. I hope the success continues.

:thumb: Good points. Green Co.did a nice job on Sparks and the Rams offense had no flow. I think the Rams had some tired legs from the Fairview game. They also may have been looking ahead with a matchup with Russell. Nice game from T. Boyles, very talented with lot of potential. You are correct on the game tonight between the Rams & Devils.

I would say that you would be safe!! Jasper had a little trouble with the defensive pressure tonight but he will be fine. Great group of Freshman that have given a great effort each night out.

Best overall performance of the season. Kentucky played well in every phase of the game. The extra practice time really made a difference for the preparation of the game. Now the kids get a well deserved break to spend Christmas with their families. Nice job Cats.:thumb:

Final....

I was critical of Brooks in the beginning and didn't think he was the man for the job but he has proven me wrong. Brooks has done an excellent job of getting things moving in the right direction and IMO has earned the contract extention. He has the respect of the players and that to me is the real sticking point of his success. I hope the trend continues. Good luck to the Wildcats in Music City.

OldRambler, You have nothing to apologize about. You stated in your first post that it was only your opinion. You have always been positive about Raceland athletics, the coaches and the kids that play. While there may have been some that were upset I bet there are several others that agree with your post. Your post about Raceland athletics has done nothing but give positive recognition to the program and kids, and as you have stated it is all about the kids. Raceland has a proud tradition. It is the people in the community,coaches, administration and the kids that make it what it is. Keep posting!! Remember, you can please some of the people some of the time but you can't please all of the people all of the time. :thumb: If they are upset they will get over it. If not they can turn the channel.:sssh:

With the 20 hour rule not in effect I think Tubby will have the Cats prepared. They have had extra practice time to correct some things and I think we see a much improved team against UMass. Kentucky 81 UMass 73

Maybe so, but how many times have you seen Henry catch a pass that was overthrown or thrown behind him or a pass that no one thought he could get to that he ran down? Palmer is the leader of the offense and needs to get on players when they don't perform but at the same time he is in a team sport and has to shoulder the blame as well. Does he say the same things to a 6'6" 260lb. offensive lineman when he is getting up off his backside after getting sacked for the 5th time in the game? I doubt it.

I would guess that he may be a problem. He missed the first three games of the season for an NCAA violation and now this. I hope he can keep things straight and do what is right so he can have a future not only as a player but as a person.
