  1. Who would have Homefield advantage?? They are tied wit CovCath at the half 21-21 right now.
  2. No, well not that i'm aware of anyway...he is one of the top players in KY though.
  3. The Paintsville team that won it all in 96' was probabily one of the most talented groups ever put together..I'm not a Paintsville fan but you have to give this group a little credit. JR VanHoose-6'10-Marshall,4 year starter, played in the NBDL, now playing professionally in the IBL for WV. Craig Ratliff-6'9-Commited to UNC Greensboro, ended up at Pikeville College and started on the team that went to the NAIA Final 4. Todd Tackett-Kentucky, origionally commited to Clemson then Kentucky offered..He really didn't do anything at UK, but UK is UK. Josh McKinzie-6'6-Played for Travis Ford at Cambellsville, but realistically was a D-I player..Had a good career at C'Ville. ETC.
  4. If i'm Tubby, which i'm not but any way I would start the three freshman(Stevenson,Jasper, and Meeks). When they get in the game the intensity level changes and they do make plays. Also I don't see any of these guys leaving early so why not start them now and give them some experience, and in 2-3years they could but great. They defintly aren't going to play any worse with them in the lineup..JMO
  5. lol...Have you commited yet or are you still considering UNC and Duke, did you get that Dodge Viper from Coach K yet?
  6. I'd say Matt Thomas, his athleticism makes him dangerous defensively. I'd say Austin Blair for Russell shoud be another player who will get his share, He's underrated defensively.
  7. I see UK putting some points on the board and winning big at home. I'll say 58-21 Cats.
  8. Just something I was thinking and figured I'd make it into a thread. Who has the Highest FT percentage in a season and/or Career?? Feel free to comment and share your opinion on this:thumb: .
  9. Didn't Alsop start 2 maybe three years at G-Town when they were top 5 in the NAIA . Talk about talent on those Scott Co. teams in the late 90's early 00's. They had 3 D-I players Hamilton-Marshall,Jones & Hundley-Vandy, And also Alsop who played a big role at G-Town which is technically D-I caliber playing NAIA. They also had #23, I think his name was Harris but I can't recall for sure who probabily could have played D-I, and may have but to my knowledge didn't. But they were stacked from top to bottom.
  10. I just hope these missed kicks don't come back to haunt the Cats late in this game, maybe we can get some TDs and build this lead a little in the 2nd half.
  11. I agree, they need to try Housley some, he's not great but this guy has already missed 1 and had 1 blocked.
  12. Me too, sorry I havent replied but I have been checking the updates frequently.:thumb:
  13. That sounds good to me, I was thinking the same thing after reading about some of these other players I left out. Here's 6-10 6.Patrick Sparks-Mulenberg North 7.Rick Jones-Scott County 8.Ronny Dawn-NCC 9.Jermey Hall-Allen Central 10.Scott Draud-Highlands..Don't Know alot about him but anyone who averaged 36ppg w/out a 3-point line has to be included.
  14. Thats impressive without a doubt, sounds alot like "King" Kelly Coleman, even though Coleman Played way before my time, I've heard stories and seen video clips of him. He averaged 47-48ppg or something like that and alot of times he'd pull up right after crossing the half court line, It was unbelievable. If he had a 3-point line he more than likley have averaged close to 70ppg and thats not exagerating at all. Aldoph Rupp onece said that he was the best HS player he had ever seen. I also heard that he rarley playd a game sober:jump: making it that much more amazing.
  15. You are right, I forgot about Rick Jones, what about that three he made in the state tournament that won the game for them, that was an amazing shot as well. Wasn't Anthony Epps considered a great shooter coming out of Marion County also?
  16. 1."King" Kelly Coleman-Wayland(Obvious Choice for me) 2.Chris Loften-Mason Co. 3.Allan Houston-Ballard 4.Richie Farmer-Clay County 5.Rex Chapman-Apallo or Patrick Sparks-Mulenberg North Should be interesting to see what everyone else thinks.
  17. This kid obviousley has alot of talent and athleticism and can probababily take about anyone of the dribble, he's also quick and a good defender. The reason for this thread is that I'm curious about the colleges recruiting him, I heard from a friend in Western Kentucky that UT-Martin was looking at him but I'm not sure how true this is. Does anyone know what schools are recruiting him and if there are any D-I schools after him, he could be a steal for a D-I school imo..thanks for any information.
  18. Thanks, I'll try and make it, I'd like to see what kind of team JC has this year.:thumb:
  19. Time/Date/Gym?? I may be in attendence its just according to time,Date, and place of this event, should be some good basketball though, I'd like to see if the McCarty kid has improved, he's been solid for two years. Portsmouth Clay is actually structured like a 15th region team so this should be a good matchup.
