Is it true that South Laurel and Knox Central both are now without head coaches for the ucoming season?

I think both QB's in this game attended Danville schools when they were younger. I believe Perry untill 6th grade and Bunch untill 8th. If thats true Danville lost two good players.

so much for all those points being scored that we though would hapen. Good job Ads. If you told me they could have six turnovers and beat Boyle I would have told you that your crazy. Boyle's QB did a great job. If Boyle's recievers could catch the ball and Danville didn't have all those turnovers there probably would have been alot more points scored.

What I have heard is that JD will not be coaching at Rockcastle. I believe that Chris Bishop has taken over.

Everyone seems to be picking Boyle because of their tough schedule so far. They have played two good teams, but Boyle has lost both of them. Danville's two games haven't been with to bad of teams either. PSW beat Boyle twice last year and Madison Central beat Boyle in a Scrimage this season. Hard for me to pick a team to get their first win against a pretty good Danville team. Danville 33 Boyle Co. 21

I hope Cole plays, but it is a risk. You hate to see a kid get hurt playing a sport he is not going to college to play. Besides Vandy's coach might have some other things for him to work on this spring.

He was a great guy and the Mercer Co. baseball team will miss him alot.

With the size school they are they should put a good team out there every year. They should be decent but are going to have to get past Mercer or West to get out of their Dist.

Not only was the meeting madatory Shaw had to go to, I'm sure the Louisville coach thinks he has thrown enough innings over the Spring and Summer and would like him to rest that arm a little. I know they weren't to happy after he throw 8 innings went to the field and then came back in and throw the 10th at the Legion State tornament.

This shouldn't even be something we should have to de talking about. American Legion needs to make some changes in dates of tournaments. American Legion is the only summer legue still playing for this age group. Everyone else is done.

Because there are so many college players playing American Legion now that 19 year olds can play, you would think American Legion would go to finishing the season at the same time as the college leagues do. Most all college leagues finish up by the first of August. That gives those player a couple of weeks to rest and get ready for classes and Fall practice. Most colleges like their players/PITCHERS to have a little time off before Fall workouts start. They don't want them to come in with tired arms or be burnt out.

If you think college teams just mess around in the Fall, you have no clue about college baseball. They probably get more done in the Fall then they do any other time of the year. The Fall is when the colleges find out what they realy have. Especially in the incoming Freshman.

No college coach is going to be happy if their players show up late. No matter what the reason is.

The National American Legion needs to look at moving the National tournaments up. There is no way the Danville team would have turned down the oppurtunity to go to the regional if it would have had enough players. The Danville team had players from Mercer Co. that had been in school from Aug. 1 and had already missed school to play Dist. and State games. The players from Boyle Co. missed to be at the State and the Danville players would of had to miss to be at the Regionals. The Danville team also had lots of player going off to college. Some of those college players were going to schools out side of the state of Kentucky and there was just no way they were going to be able to make it to Paducha.

I was at the game and as soon as the game was over Coach Morse asked the players how many would be able make it to the entire regional tournament and only four players said the could. Not close to the manditory 12 that are required.

Somerset and Mercer have to be the favorites. They both have a lot of talent returning. The next five or six teams are all about the same. But who can be for sure, the best team with the most talent doesn't always win in baseball.

Bowling Green, Danville, Ashland and Paducha are all winners from there Dist.

Catching very well could be his position in the future. Coastal Caroline Un. is were he is going to school and they want to look at him at third, corner outfield and maybe catching. They defently want him to pitch and that will be hard if he is doing much catching.

My eight picks would be Paducah, Mayfield, Owensboro, Bowling Green, Shelbyville, Ashland, Danville, and Campbellsville. All good teams.

He might be the best catcher in the state, but its hard to catch and also be a pitcher.

I watched Ahland play some this past week-end in Danville and they do have a nice team.
