BB & ARC you can help: I know lee was beaten by Knott a week or so ago. did their JV's play?? Doesnt really matter but i was just wonder since there isnt JV scores posted anywhere & i was curious.

Will Owsley play there "patented" 2-3 zone against JBS or will they man up. Owsley is not very deep & a 2-3 may help keep neeley & smith out of foul trouble but could open up the perimeter.

I know there was a thread last year about JV teams. I dont get to see many of these games but was wondering what teams were good & such. What are some teams that will be making some noise in the next few years??

I disagree, teams like PCC, LCC, Lee, Hazard?, Estill etc are really/pretty deep. There are many players that do not get 30 mins a night & dont get the exposure & opportunity of scoring by simply being on the floor more. I know Lee plays about 9 guys every night & from what i've heard their bench is pretty solid. Some guys may get 20 mins one night & 10 the next depending on how they're playing & how others are playing. For teams like Owsley (3 main guys that wont come out; smith, neeley & congleton & a huge drop off after that), Wolfe has Cody & Stamper & a drop off, etc. They dont have the luxury of spelling people or benching them because of play. this is just my opinion but I've seen Lee & Owsley; I do not think Congleton is as good as either of the Liesegangs, Fetters or Johnson (i think they're all juniors) but his name does get in the paper b/c he plays a lot. JMO

The hardest thing to judge are decent/good players on bad teams & decent/good on good teams. Congleton is a good player for Owsley but I dont know how effective he would be on a better team. Willis for PCC comes off the bench & isnt that impressive (imo) but if he played on some other teams, he'd get 30 mins a night. I'm not knocking any players but its just sometimes hard to determine how good they are since all are in completely different situations.

This is the 2nd round matchups. How will the the 2nd round & rest of hte All A play out?? 2nd Round JBS @Owsley (good game but Stepp & inside too much for owls) Jenkins @ Lee (Lee should cruise, if they play) Cordia @Buckhorn (Buckhorn @ home & they are for real) Hazard @Wolfe (Wolfe playing better & can win but going with Bulldogs) Semi's JBS vs. Lee (Lee can matchup & depth helps in tourny time) Buckhorn vs. Hazard (Hazard is always ready in tourny time) Final Lee vs Hazard (tradition says hazard but lee had a big win in JCC tourny & should help overcome the experience factor & Depth, depth, depth) Lee is the champions

All these close games against PCC & others in the region will show that there are upwards of 10 or 12 that could beat the #1 through 5, if the top teams arent on their A game.

Someone mentioned that the jackson radion station (i'm assuming 97.3 fm) is going to broadcast the jenkins @ lee 2nd round game. not completely sure but was something that i had heard.

Good win for Lee. Wanted to go but didnt risk the ticket issue & more relevant to have jackson & lee fans present. Should these facility and ticket issues be addressed by the all "a". Was there an even split of tickets for lee and jackson fans or was this completely in jackson city's hands??? tickets are hard to come by for a regional tourny or state tourny & districts but seems odd for a first round all a game.

"he has been a shut down defender" This year he has worried more about offense & has taken some plays off on defense. But after watching a few games last year & the year before, he can play defense. He is one of the better "on the ball" defenders that I have seen in a while (that is when he decides too). he can get really low & cause havic to the opposing guards.

Owsley is playing better & starting to gel but I'll have to go with JBS.

Neeley & Berryman are both great shooters/scorers.

Cody Gilbert is good. The last few years he has been a shut down defender, as well.

IMO this decision was not very considerate for the fans by the All "A". Gym is too small & everyone must make the best of it but will scare many fans off. I dont have a dog in the fight but seems inconsiderate at best or not well planned by the committee

I think my top 6 are (guys that carry there team either offensively, defensively or both): cody Gilbert Quentin Morgan Eli Warren Tyler Rich Justin Hicks Berryman then you have several that could arguable be in the next 4: PCC- Robert Paul Amis & Bailey JCC-Howard Owsley-Neeley & Smith Leslie-Day Estill-Dixon Lee-Brandenburg & Fetters LCC-Wright Wolfe-Stamper JBS-Stepp

I understand the situation but the problem that i have is: there will be hundreds that do not attend or are turned away at the door!! It is just a bad situation for high school basketball & fans.

500 is being generous but i'm a bad guestimator!!!

They built a new "elementary" style gym (seats on one side) a few years ago. I dont think Lee's has a team anymore so i dont know what this gym is used for?? I think this will be used for a home court advantage but the fans are the ones that will lose out, it appears.

1 middle school definitely HURTS. top 5 players play together for 6th, 7th, 8th grade. What happens in high school if one or 2 or 3 quit, move or are kicked off the team. Who replaces them?? you have other players but they dont have the experience. if you have 13 middle schools thats 13x5=65 players paying at any given time. If 5 quit, you still have 60 that have gotten minutes. This is the problem with small schools that only have 1 middle school. if players quit the back-up do not have the experience. Playing together helps but NOT as much as simply Playing!!!! Which many of these middle schoolers arent getting which is MINUTES!!!

I'm sure this would be a good draw but probably better for jackson city for a smaller crowd & I'm sure the majority of fans will be from jackson. I just dont think a game of this magnitude should have such a small fan limit?? Usually teams want as many people to come as possible but playing in a "PACKED HOUSE of 300" doesnt sound that appealing!!! Getting a ticket will be like playing the lottery or politics (who you know??)!!

It is exciting but its bad for fans to get turned away. I didnt even go to the regional tourny in hazard b/c people couldnt get it & it wasnt worth the risk.

Has anyone heard that Feltner will not return after the season?? From what i've seen, he can coach & is a good guy!! I've heard he's expecting a child so i dont know if he's being forced out or its on his own or if its all rumors.
