This is true! Lee really opened my eyes with the owsley win & buckhorn win. They really played defense. It will be interesting to see how they compete against brossart!!

Moose Moore played on that team if my memory serves me right (great player)?? I remember that team & it was exciting for the 14th. Schools like University heights & others get an advantage somehow????????

Hopefully the cats will make a showing for lee, region & district since this is there first regional title in basketball since 1973 or 74 & 1968 or 69 (cant remember??) So there must be lots of excitement in bobcat country!!

kind of off the thread but not. Has anyone else heard that creech "may" be on the hot seat in wolfe county??

Charles is a solid player for lee & amis as well for pcc. the rest i havent seen play as much & sometimes dont get to watch jv games.

This was just a start & we need to add to it i forgot about Neeley-owsley, he's definitely on the list 12th dixon as well who else?? i cant think of many freshman??

Rich is the banger & about 6'5 or so. Fetter is an athletic 6'2 & quicker so not in the post as much (or that i have seen?) I did notice a couple big guys during warm-ups for Lee but they dont seem to play that much. They may be young guys??

No problem, maybe i was expecting sarcasm so i found some. this will hopefully be a good game & i'm sure both teams are paranoid. good luck & keep up the hard work. I still dont have my tickets yet but i'm working on that!!

They did. Harold Swanagan was on that team as well

University Heights with 102!! they are always good. do people remember the team that had Barnes, Victor & Harold Swanagan (all over 6'8)!! Thats pretty good odds with this type of enrollment!! They played Owsley in the 1990 All A championship with several exchange students. How exactly do they get these types of players?? Is this the obvious answer or does anyone have any insight??

have to go with leslie in this one until owsley starts playing more consistent.

Thanks!! i checked the discussion board out & it only had 1 post so not much help!! It really isnt a big deal. i just didnt know anything about brossart & was wondering. have seen lee & not brossart so hard to predict but hopefully it is a good game.

I did check the site out but i didnt find or look hard enough for the starting lineup & bench players. I found a roster but it did not supply starters, player tendencies or opinions that most posters have. This is a discussion board & i was hoping to discuss bishop brossart & lee as well.

THANKS!! this is appreciated. I am rooting for Lee but well respect what Brossart has done. They seem to be a very solid team that plays team basketball. I look forward to the matchup & hope the best for the victor!!

This Owsley-Lee rivalry is fun to read about!! i can't wait till the hype starts when & if they meet for the 4th time!!!

Mustang, You make a statement about not knowing about lee & are very sarcastic about my intial remark!! So, as a 14th region fan I give you a good summary of the starting 5 & some bench players that play with there analogies. Then, instead of giving the same treatment, you are talking about 1997 & the move from the 9th. Others are talking about being a small team which Brossart is not. Be a man & give the same information that was given to "most brossart fans that do not know Lee." Lee's coaches probably know this information as brossart coaches should know what was posted here but this is for fans. Help lee's and the 14th out & give us a glimpse of what is Bishop Brossart?? Or do you want to keep playing games??

Professor was referring to the comment that brossart gets noticed since they have won 4 straight All "A" regionals. There arent many good "A" schools in the 10th, like many other regions. But like the 14th there are several regions were there is some quality teams & it means something to get out of the regional. Brossart does not feel this way & should win most games by more than 20 in there All "A" regional!!

Blowing Smoke??? I did find a roster and a few threads & "not bit at all" was not in it!!! 6'6, 6'5, 6'2, 5'10 & 5'11 are the starters & coming in with a 6'6!! pretty good size!! Not like U heights when they had victor & barnes but still FAR from SMALL!!

I took this thread differently. i thought it was referring to attention on the court. In the 14th i'd say: 1. cody gilbert is double & triple teamed night in & night out. 2. Tyler Rich is a major factor for teams & it opens up shooter for lee. 3. most other teams try to guard straight up against most of the 14th & help but there are other weapons that will hurt you so hard to put a lot of attention on one person.

I agree ronnie!! smith is a good player but the situation is unfortunate for the rest of the team. I had not thought of him taking a starting spot but thats a good point!! No practice & not allowed to go to games & takes a starting spot in January on the 1st game back.

I get the analogy better than i do your thought that hicks is the BEST player in the region. Top 3 or 5 probably. Next year maybe 1 or 2 but this is NOT NEXT YEAR!!!!
