Wednesday - Ryle 14, Covington Catholic 21 At halftime it was tied at 14. Ryle shot itself in the foot with all the penalties and turnovers. They gave up a couple of big plays on defense. Ryle moved the ball well though. This group will be good when they get used to playing together.

Regarding the new school or where it will pull from?

My AAU team played the McCreary 8th graders with Watts this spring. We tried to double team him everywhere but he put 26 on us. My kids felt bad about it until we found out that he put 24 on a varsity team earlier. He went 15 for 16 from the free throw line. He was the best 8th grader I saw this year.

Unfortunately Ryle has too many injuries right now. Doesn't look good for the Raiders.

Keifer Eubank for Ryle will be good.

If the big schools ever hope to compete with the St. X/Trinity's then they better get a ton of kids out. I think it is a compliment to the direction of the program to have that much interest.

My understanding is Camp Ernst High School opens in 2008. It is supposed to draw more kids from Conner than Boone or Ryle but will effect all three.

Ryle has 75+ Freshmen this year. I had expected many to quit by now but they are sticking with it. No one is playing both ways. I think they will be pretty good. Find out Weds when they play Cov Cath.

I can't say one way or the other. They only played about 10 plays and surprisingly we threw the ball several times. I'm sure we will know more Thursday after the Freshmen/JV scrimmage.

Peace played RB also but I didn't see him carry the ball more than once. Ryle only played their 1st team offense one series.

Kiefer Eubank was playing tailback and Trevor Behne was playing QB.
