Johnson Central leads 41-0 at the half.

I would consider JC a heavy favorite in their last district matchup with Letcher Co. Central. I’m more curious how much, if any a win over Belfry in the road will benefit JC in the RPI standings. In years past, Belfry and JC rested players that were banged up in preparation for playoff runs. With this new RPI system, Belfry stands a lot to benefit from this game, while JC not so much. I think JC would be a couple touchdown favorite against the Pirates, but in years past the “favorite” generally came up on the losing end. As far as a playoff run, I would be shocked if JC didn’t make it through the 3rd round. If the RPI standings held today, JC would likely be on the road at Franklin County the day after Thanksgiving. Not really knowing much, if anything about Franklin County, I hesitate to say who would win the game. But the obvious elephant in the room would be Boyle County, whom I think JC would have to play a nearly flawless game with zero turnovers to win against.

The East Carter program is taking steps in the right direction! Congrats Raiders!

It does seem that way. Occasionally JC will throw in a play action fake and pop Dalton down the seam on a go route. Usually Preece connects with him in full stride and allows Dalton to use his speed to get separation.

This game has apparently been moved to Thursday night. Estimated kickoff time is around 8pm.

I’m curious as to why you think this? Is it because of JCs predominantly one sided offense? I don’t know if JC is the 6th best team in the state, but their showing against Lafayette was much better than Scott County’s. I’m sure the Cardinals didn’t bring their best performance, but JC handled the Generals rather easily.

I’m not sure of the circumstances, but I have the same question.
