There have been a late surge for a guy from Pike County named Bobby Branham. I am hearing he was offered the job before and declined, but now is thinking about it again.

I heard the decision will be made this week and the choices as of last friday were Coffey and Parsons.

I am hearing a lot of information that Coach Hampton is interested.....

It is now the end of May and the bobcats are still looking for a coach. I am unsure of the purpose but the bright spot is they are lifting. Looks like a great conditioning plan, but they have no HC. Is there any information about the HC job? Is there anyone interested? In the past threads, there were some names like Bobby Branham? Don't know who he is? Wayne Stevens? Should be in the running for the HC job at WEST Jess. Anthony Hampton? Isn't he coaching? Who is the best choice? And are there any more names out there?

What are the rules generally of passing league games?

Honaker twins were going to Pikeville the whole time. As for the the rest, I think it has a lot to do with the tradition the other schools have. What I think has left Betsy Layne in general is pride. The transition from grade school to high school is a failure of pride. For the first time, Betsy Layne saw a couple of transfers come in to Betsy Layne like Mike Lachey, Ed Osborne so as soon as pride starts coming back they get rid of the coach. Ed and the rest of the seniors would stay for grade school games and lead them on, which really looked good, that hasn't happened in a long time.

I understand your guys point of view, but Betsy Layne tried to go outside the system by the last two coaches out of three and failed, when they went with the community they were some success with (jackie). No one knows the success that is possible with betsy layne unless you are within the program.

I think the person for the job is within the program. Jonathan Parsons. He may be young but he is certified and is someone that will be for the program in the long haul. With Parsons being the head man, but he would put Dwight Jarrell running the team, then the team would really take off.With Jarrell's experience and parsons being young and hungry for success they really could take off...

I know there have been people apply for the job, but why won't the administration put someone in place.

It is the middle of March and there are still no football coach. Why are they teasing the students of betsy layne of saying that they are committed of having a football program but can not hire a coach. Could anyone enlighten me on there situation?

They recently got a big donation of new shoulder pads and football cleats from someone.

I have heard there are three serious candidates. I heard the coach will be a shocker.

I was told by a site base member there were 30 applicants.

I do know for sure that there are 30 applications in. Mostly assitant coaches.

They will hire, when they find out the budget for next year.
