Brown knows basketball, but he doesn't want to do the work required to win at a small school. He runs camps to make personal cash in the summer. High school coaches run camps to develop players and generate cash for their program. No summer program. Does not develop a junior league or jv and freshmen. Took a week vacation during the season. Discipline is very weak. Need I go on.

Bad hire

WV was full of transfers in in the past. They get more than their fair share. But, why wouldn't they. The location is ideal. They pick up kids from Grant, Boone, Ryle, Connor and Kenton. They have had kids from Gallatin and Williamstown. WV offers a kid a chance to be a big fish in a small pond, academics are great, and you are almost in Florence. There football team is full of move ins. I'm not complaining or calling them out, they have a lot to offer.

They will have a very good team. Possibly the favorite for All A state.

SK by a bunch.

1, he had a pretty good success rate.

Gallatin lost a lot. Wilson was an awesome player. Steurer an awesome athlete, but the rest of their primary players are back. Beatty is a top line defender at the point. Rassman and Bowen are shooters with good quickness. The Coomer boy that moved in is a very good player. He probably averaged 20 points a game this summer. They have options for the 5th starter. Jarin Rassman or jaymee hale are the likely choices.

Gallatin will make the region. Don't know how long they play, but they are the team to beat in the 31st.

Scoring 40+ is always impressive. Doing it in aau with no defense taints the accomplishment. However, still impressive.

I heard the same thing. Lots of rumors floating around at my speedway that the super is offering the job to people again. I have several friends in Eminence. Hate these kids are having to go through this.

Northern Kentucky is well represented.

Several teams will be at Simon Kenton the next three days. I don't think anyone can give you a specific schedule unless they are associated with a team. I have seen games in Lexington, Louisville , mason county, etc. just follow bgp and see who is hosting.

I haven't seen Shelby, Williamstown, Henry, Owen or Trimble. Or eminence. The team that surprised me the most was North Oldham. They have some size, some shooters and some depth. I will admit, you do not know who is missing from a team when you see them on a given day. I watched Spencer twice and they did not wow me.

From what I have seen this summer, the top 6 are Oldham, WV, north Oldham, SK , Collins and Anderson, in no particular order.

One of the interesting stories in this scenario is whether Coach Brannen adjusts his style of play. They are typically a walk it up the floor, turnover your offense type of team. He has a lot of horses, will he let them run. Stanley and Lay are better in transition.

I am a big fan of Kelch as well. Miles has d1 athleticism. I hop both do well. From a fan standpoint, I prefer SK over WV, so I'm just calling it as I see it.

Miles is quicker, jumps better, defends better. Right now Kelch scores better. No offense to Kelch, he is a fine player- worthy of all the praise he gets. I would take Miles.

Williamstown staff has been adamant that Fox would be ruled eligible. He is too old. July birthday to turn 19 is a well known fact. Khsaa gives waivers to many of their bylaws. I have never known them to waive age. If Fox goes to WV they have the best talent. No one is even mentioning the kid from Europe that is D1 talent. 1. Stanley - top five in region 2. Clinkenbeard- top 10 in the region 3. Lay 4. Euro. 6'7. Brought in to place at NKU 5. Miles. Top center in the region Bench Fox(starts for everyone else in the region) Jones- prolific shooter and he will be open Grubbs and Pardee are solid back ups. This team is loaded. It will be difficult to keep everyone happy,but they win All A state and go to the big state.

The rumor is Stanley enrolled at WV. Can any WV people confirm? What happens to Fox if Stanley leaves?

I think this is a good hire.
