  1. This game is getting ready to tip-off. Should be a good one.
  2. I had never thought about it either until the other night on the way home from Berea. I know it sounds weird but I've never seen that many shots taken off of deflections.
  3. Clay by 3. The D steps up. I think some of their defensive problems might be that they are hustling too much. The other night aganist Powell County almost every 3 Powell hit came off of a deflection that sombody would dive to get and wouldn't get it and there would be somebody wide open. I think things are going to start clicking.
  4. They didn't seem composed in the 2nd quarter when they made about 4 turnover's in a row. I'm a huge Clay County fan, and I'm proud of the boys. I just think they let to many things go to their head last night. I think me and you both agree that when everyone starts clicking they will be tough to handle.
  5. Clay really doesn't have that good shooter. Never have since Griffin left. Closest thing they got would probably be Hobbs.
  6. I'm not going to argue with you. I'm proud of the young men from Clay. Hopefully they can get things together and play like they have the first 4 minutes of the last 2 games. The only thing they need is time. When they start playing there isn't many teams can beat them.
  7. Clay is a senior dominated team, but I don't know if I would call them very experienced. Sizemore and Jones have played alot. This is Swafford's first year of seeing a lot of varsity action. Hibbard started last year but when it got deep in the season he didn't see much action besides the first few minutes of the game. Richard Jones hasn't played since he was a Sophomore. Hobbs and Lewis are both very young. So I don't know if I would consider them having a lot of experience.
  8. Any win on the road in the 13th is a good win. Especially when it's a rivalry like Clay County and Jackson County. Both teams played hard, it was a basketball game you love to watch because the kids were playing with everything they had.
  9. They were scoring at will in the first quarter. Then Coach Hayes pulled his normal Clay County game antics out and got the fans fired up, and Clay's boys didn't know what to do.
  10. It was up and down. Neither team could scored. Clay was up 6-0 in the first minute of the game. 15-5 at the end of the first. From then on out they let Coach Hayes and the Jackson County fans get in their heads. Both teams ran the whole night, the shots just weren't falling. Good win for the Tigers, and the Generals played with everything in them. Good game by both teams.
  11. Phillp Dunn from Clay County broke the school interception record with 11. I think Lewis broke the game and season passing records this year also.
  12. I really don't know what the reason is. I would be suprised if anybody really knew what the reason was.
  13. Talked to one of the players Sunday and he said they had 7 out, and he didn't know if any basketball players were gonna play or not. They need to try to get some of those Sophmores out. That group was too good not to have any of those players playing high school baseball.
  14. If Clay can finish the season 7th in the region they will be thrilled. From what I hear they have 7 players out right now. Could be a tough year for Burchell and the Tigers.
  15. Colby Brown loses his cool and has control problems at times, but he is probably the best high school pitcher I have ever seen play aganist Clay County.
  16. For Clay either Bell or Rockcastle. Either one would be a great win.
  17. Those would be my numbers for the sports I played in.
