  1. Speedy recovery goes out to Webber, hate too see anyone get hurt.
  2. Deming's homecoming festivities were complete as the boys won 69-67 over Model, game was close all the way thru.
  3. She will need 31pts. to pass her mom's all time scoring record, has got 5 more season games left, Tonight against ST.Pat. Go Erin.:dancingpa
  4. Nobody is going to be taken for granted this year on the boys side anyone of the teams could win the District. On the girls side I would look for Harrison County to win.
  5. Congrats to Coach Thomas Mitchell and the Lady Devils, nothing but bright things for the future for these ladies. Good Luck to you in the future.:dancingpa
  6. Amanda Miller has been named All-Region in the 4th region swim and diving meet, She also has qualified for the state swim meet for two events, Miller came in second in the 50yd freestyle and the 100yd breatstroke to qualify for the state meet on Friday. Congrats and Good Luck Amanda Miller.
  7. Just did, went to their web site and sent them a message on him.
  8. Powells.......Coach Frazier is much older as I sure you know.
  9. Maybe play St.Pat if they both go the region.
  10. I went to see this game, cause I was in Flemingsburg, and I thought this game was pretty hard fought. (Their coach kinda looks like Coach Jay Fite of Bracken County.) PC: Kinser 27, Brewer 21, Mays 9, CH.Brewer 9,HAwkins 7,Banks 4, Crowe 2 FC: Gray 23, Frazier 21, Dugan 10, Jackson 8, Newsom 6, Jolly 4, Clark 2 PC: 21 21 18 19 FC: 18 19 21 22
  11. Black Devils have 7 games remaining this season, at 10-9 thus far there have been some ups and downs this year, but one thing remains the fan support here is something else. As I look down the road we face: 1)Model on Feb 8th @home 2)Lloyd Memorial(Last away game) 3)Berea 4)Bishop Brossart(Makeup Game from the Leota Massey Classic) 5)Bracken County 6)Paris 7)Covington Latin Deming could very well win these last 7 games, Brossart scares me a little, Deming beat them back on Dec 28(56-54), but Brossart has improved much since then. Also they have won the All A 10th Region Classic. Going into the 38th District Tournament I see Deming winning the District Title They have beaten Nicholas County twice but the Bluejackets have improved since then. We've beaten Harrison County on Dec 18th(88-69)but as of now they are on a 3 game winning streak. Pendleton County beat the Devils back on Dec 21(60-57). Really it depends on what team shows up but I think Coach Johnson will get the Devils ready and hopefully we could win our first district title since returning back to the 38th District.
  12. I believe it was something like that, proably 2000pt.
  13. Yeah I was there at that game. I used to work partime at the Marathon gas station at Washington, and I used to talk to Brain Kiirk about the games Deming/Augusta have had, and how each team was doing. Also talked to former Bracken County Coach Robert Hammonds who lived in Washington at that time. Each team had it's moments. I went to Augusta to watch them play Newport and Kirk had a Career highlight, don't remeber exactly what for but it was a good game by him, they presented him with the gameball at the end of the period.
  14. I've paid $5 to get in there, unless that was for the Regional tournamnet which it may have been. At Deming it's $4 for adults, $3 for students.
  15. At the game she scored 2000, she needed 148pts to meet or break her mothers all time leading scorer record. I think she's well on her way of doing that. She has about 3 more weeks of basketball left to accomplish this. Good Luck Erin.:thumb: I've have read in the Robertson County News that some colleges are interested in Erin continuing her BB career at their places. No word on who but she be great for some small school campus like maybe Union college or where her mother played at, Midway.
  16. I would think he should be nominated for HOF, he guided both the boys and girls teams at Deming, Deming girls had most wins team in the history of the high school, he's also won a few 38th district titles while at Deming in the boys and girls basketball. He was undoubtbly the busiest coach in high school basketball back then, with his coaching and teaching with P.E. and Drivers Ed. as well as Middle School basketball also.
  17. The kids in question love this kinda of stuff. Anytime they can get a basketball in their hands makes them happy. Kids get hurt all the time and I know it's on the minds of their parents whenever they play. I once saw a girls basketball game at Deming were there was a freshman, Jv and then Varsity game and the freshman girl played in a all 3 and scored 20pts. in the varsity game. So I would say let the kids play, before they know it their high school years are all over.
  18. Right you are I remeber in the last few District Tournaments it's been St.Pat and Augusta and regardless what happened during the season Augusta brought it to the Patties and made it back to the region. Only time will tell if there's going to be a 3peat for Augusta. Good Luck to both teams.
  19. Hope he'll turn out ok, best wishes for him to a speedy recovery.
  20. Few games I've seen when he was at Mason County he has.
  21. Yeah Gayle was a pretty exciting player back then, I would also through in Troy King, the King Twins dad, he could leap also. Altough Gayle was a little better leaper back then.
  22. I've seen him dunk over here at Deming during the Class A Tournament. Still one of the best I've seen dunking.
