Rockcastle County 74 Bourbon County 6
Jaun Badboi replied to 3wishes's topic in KY Football (High School)
I dont know that Bourbon had any serious injuries but there were a few players getting up slowly. I think it was #9 that actually blew chunks after a hit, but that coulda been from anything. Maybe someone close to the team knows if he was sick or something. But I will say that Bourbon never gave up, they broke a few plays open and even had an int. They just need some time to get a feeder program going. -
girls SPORTS or GIRLS sports?

Rockcastle made bold move last night putting #74 Brad Durham ( the UofL signee) in as PAT kicker. By the way Brad is something like 6'6'' 315. (Maybe someone can give exact stats?) But my question is has there ever been a kicker this big in KY? And if anyone knows, why did Rock do this? Is he the most accurate kicker on the team? It made me chuckle to see him kick the ball. It is basically like he runs into the ball and it happens to go through the air. No disrespect to Brad there is obviously a reason Rock coaches has him kicking. Its just kinda funny.

By the way this isnt just about football. What about other sports, like girls basketball, or volleyball, or even cheerleading. If I had a child that showed potential in a certain sport to be a D1 player or pro athlete, I would send them to the best program if I had the chance. Should that be legal in high school sports? And remember just because someone makes a comment doesnt mean their picking a fight. I have been very enlightened in this thread, thanks for the input. I really dont understand why the public schoolers are so upset. This is mainly a rural/urban situation.

Rockcastle County 74 Bourbon County 6

I'd like to mention that not only were the sub in early but sometime in the 2nd, I believe, Rock declined a penalty when bourbon was on Rock's half of the feild. There is only so much you can do. -
I really didnt think I would get such responses from the private schoolers. I am totally for the private schools and against the 6 classes in football. In my original post maybe I should have said unfair advantage. Because that is the only problem I see, where private schools can become talent pools. But I say if you want to be the best beat the best. Even if the best is an all-star team. Does anybody know what I'm trying to say?!? Somebody show me love!

When I speak of a scholarship athlete or for the most part a private school athlete I mean that he/she is a talented athlete. Whereas public schools dont have as much talent. Just wondering, how many D-1 players come from public vs. private schools in KY? And by the way no one has answered me as to why schools have had such long runs as state champs.

Some private schools offer scholarships or other financial aid for some students. and if a family can afford to pay 8,000 ayear they can afford transportation. Whats the name of that documentary of the two basketball players from chicago that went to St. joesephs but one was kicked out and the other given financial assistants? thats what I'm talking about.
