  1. Ohio State is who they are and what they are is basically identical to Oklahoma.

Except Oklahoma is ranked several spots ahead of Ohio State. Ohio State's (potential) wins over Michigan and Northwestern should not be enough to vault them over Oklahoma and their (potential) wins over WVU and Texas. The Michigan win is better than the West Virginia win but the Texas win would be better than the Northwestern win. There's not enough difference in the wins to jump that many spots.

  2. And your telling me that #10 OSU deserves to jump #7 LSU. WHY?

    They're beating A&M now. A&M is a ranked team.

If you want to make that argument when the teams have the same number of losses, fine. To make it when LSU has 2 losses to OSU's one you've got no argument. LSU has 2 losses. They didn't win their division and won't play in their conference championship game. Not getting to the conference championship might be okay if they had one loss like Bama last season. But they've got 2. They don't belong ahead of ANY power 5 school with zero or one loss. The regular season should mean something.

  3. Halftime is 15:00 minutes. If the “locker room” is a ten minute walk then it is not adequate. If rest room facilities are not provided that is not adequate. If the visiting team has to take halftime in the middle of the field that is not adequate.

A 10 minute walk? So the locker rooms are a half mile from the field? I don't remember them being that far from the field at Taylor County.

  4. I'm taking Mayfield. CAL has a great team but Somerset found a way to move the ball on them effectively tonight. If not for a penalty on the Centurion's 5 yard line the Jumpers would have scored 4 times. I think Mayfield's staff, coupled with a better offense than Somerset, will take the Jumpers blueprint and find a way to put up some points. I'll take the Cardinals 31-21 in a good one.

  5. Boyle scored a TD but it was ruled out of bounds on the field. That would have made it 14-7. The next play was a turnover. I would’ve like to see what happened after that.

Congrats to Corbin. They controlled the line of scrimmage and Boyle couldn’t counter their defense. Good luck next week!

So it was a missed call?

  6. Idk what type of offense PC runs but assuming they’re like most mountain teams, they’ll grind it out on the ground which would play into their strength. I could be wrong. it would virtually make CovCath one dimensional if it’s that bad. It’s also in the players heads too.

You know what they say making assumptions makes you, right? Pulaski's quarterback has over 300 passes COMPLETED this season. They throw it all over the field.

  8. Who cares about field conditions. Adapt and play football. Everyone acts like conditions of fields is something new. As soon as schools get turf they think they should always play on turf. Is everyone new to playing in the playoffs in November?

Exactly. Several Southwestern fans were talking about how bad the field conditions were going to be at Pulaski well in advance of the game last night. I can't help but wonder if that didn't get in the player's heads a little bit and contributed to the Warriors slow start. Just lace 'em up and play. Covington Catholic is the better team by far. It wouldn't matter where they play.
