Pikeville is definitely a contender. They struggled early on in the year, but they are playing very well as of late! If they continue to play as they are, then they definitely have a shot.

Yes, they have, but so has Pikeville! They have been playing great lately, and everything is hitting on all cylinders! Do not get complacent with this win, Panthers! As Coach Priode said, stay hungry!

This was a very close game and up until the sixth inning, the game was tied 1-1. In the sixth inning, Pikeville scored a run to go up 2-1. In the bottom of the sixth, Pikeville brought in the relief because of a high pitch count, and Powell scored four runs! Great game. Congrats Powell!

Pikeville was up 20-5 going into the bottom of the fifth. The panthers took out ALL 9 starters and replaced them with the JV team. Over the course of the next three outs, Pikeville's JV allowed only 5 hits, but 17 runs...This gave the Cards a 22-20 lead. The starters were re-entered into the game and fought with SC, but allowed them to score two runs in the bottom of the 7th for the 26-25 lead. Horrible loss for the Panthers, but they overcame it last night with a big win over Allen Central.

He really is one of the hardest working, hard nosed kids I have ever met. Our only hopes at this point are for a quick and healthy recovery. ANything else is just a bonus. Thanks for your prayers.

Allen Central threw their ace, Scotty Little,who threw very well and then #7 (name?). Pikeville threw Soph. Luke Huffman, Griffin Hall, and then Taylor Ratliff. Allen Central had taken two losses, and used seven pitchers to get to last night's game with Little still in tact. Little threw well and Pikeville didn't adjust. Tough loss for the Panthers, but to be honest, I don't know if it was an upset or not?! I guess it would depend on who you ask.

Last night at the Allen Central game, Pikeville first baseman, John Michael Mayo, recieved his 3rd concussion in twelve months and his fifth overall. He was completely unconscious and an ambulance was called. His CT scan was negative and he is recovering, but please pray for our Senior. He is a great guy and a great player! Thanks.

I heard that actually. I don't know anything about Valley this year, but I was told they had some juniors out on a field trip or something like that.

It's also the first game, FP. There is no reason to hurt your ace's arm in the first outing.
