I really thought that Bracken Co. played fairly decent on the offensive end. Alex Rogers gave the Lady Bears a big lift tonight finishing her shots underneath and hitting her FTs. The Lady Bears didnt have an answer for Kelsch tonight nor could they stop dribble penetration. The Lady Bears have a tough home game against Fleming Co. next Thursday night!

I have said this all year long... I am not from Pendleton County, but I have watched them enough to know that in order for them to be successful KANE BELCHER has to touch the ball every possession...

Tara Kauinui will not be playing the next game against Pendleton Co. on Monday night. She will return after that game. There is no question about her being the best athlete on the team, but this year she hasnt been the best player.. Tara has only scored double figures a few times and is shooting under 30% from the field... She is the best athlete by far, but her decision making on and off the court has to improve.. Hopefully it will for the Lady Bears sake!

Pendleton came into the game tonight on an emotional high as they just recently upset Brossart. A combination of Jesse Hall and Tyler Hamilton was just too much for Pendleton Co. Crozier played well and scored 23 for the Cats. Belcher never really got in the flow of the game because he was in foul trouble all night. Not for sure he finished in double figures.. It was close.. Not for sure of the final, but Bracken Co. out worked the Wildcats tonight GO POLAR BEARS!

I was at a game when the Bracken Co. Faithful started their HEY YOU chant and the Augusta Faithful responded with HEY YOU HEY YOU HEY YOU Over There YOu stole that cheer FROM US FROM US FROM US OVER HERE! I liked it!

I just thought of something thats Bush League, but also hilarious. I dont know if it is considered Bush League, but so funny I have to share with you. There was a basketball player for Bracken Co. that lived in Augusta. He actually went to Bracken and played ball for the Polar Bears... One night he came and watched an Augusta game. While there he was convinced to dress up in the Panther Mascot uniform and he obliged!!! Next week, he was kicked off the Polar Bear team.. Hopefully, it wasnt because of his actions as a Panther Mascot! HILARIOUS!

I am not trying to get suspended or anything but I heard this cheer at an Augusta/Bracken Game years ago. There was a player for Bracken Co. that lived in Augusta. He earned the nickname "Peter". The Augusta Faithful who knew him very well started this chant in the 4th quarter -- "PUT PETER IN, PUT PETER IN, PUT PETER IN" Once the coach entered him into the game the Augusta Faithful chanted-- "PULL PETER OUT, PULL PETER OUT, PULL PETER OUT!" Im not saying being from Augusta that I am proud of this cheer or that it had Classy written behind it, I am just stating that I thought it was a very clever, creative chant.. I was in attendance at the game and thought it was very funny!

Yeah a guard that normally plays quit after the St. Pat game at home... This player has had a history of quitting, so this is nothing new to the team...

Ive yet to see a girls team that can hold the ball that long without a walk, foul, or jump ball... I only see primarily 10th region basketball though! Maybe it is different in other parts of the state.
