Kiernan actually probably had 8-10 points for the game. Luke Heil was on fire early for NCC and the breds just stayed hot. Scott looked flat out of the gate it looked like they were going through the motions. The guards werent pushing the ball, they couldnt guard anyone. Second half Scott turned up the tempo and finally played they way they need to play to be sucessful. Cassleman hit a lay up and a three to get the Eagle rolling. Then McCord hit a pair of tripples..Howard gets a couple of buckets...Sharpe hits a big three and then the next thing you know we were tied. New Cath turned the ball over at least 10 times in the fourth quarter. The breds also missed four free throws in the final minute and a half. Buzzer beater win for the eagles and it was a good win

I am still wondering why Kiernan is being considered for being one of the best players in NKY.... I read all the post on how he is the best big man in the ninth region and in all of the box scores he gets twelve or so points a game. why is thier so much hype about him. What has he accompished... If i was 6'5 and was 265 you bet i would score twelve to fourteen a game. My goodness if Kyle Howard weighed 265 he would be on his way to the low d1 collage game. So Why the hype i dont see why Howard wouldnt come out and drop twenty anyways. Somebody help me out here am i wrong am i missing something about Kiernan is that how you spell his name.

Yeah but i think Dan needs to be smarter than some of the other guys who have went on to play collage ball. Look at Tyler Jones i think that is what his name is from Grant Co.. He had a opportunity to play at some high D2 schools and get lots of playing time. instead he wanted to play the dream and went to Miami OH and never seen the floor. Ross Neltner instead of going to a smaller d1 or high D2 collage he took a chance went to LSU played a minor roll there and was getting recruited over top of.. now he is at Vandy. Mike Brock same way sees very little time at Eastern.... I think Dan needs to really think about making the choice of going to a D2 or a high D3 shchool. I would hate for him to go D1 and tranfer because he is not getting enough minutes.

Penick is a very good fit for a D2 collage or a D3 he for being 6'9 is not very Physical, doesnt really play hard and doesnt have good leadership skills on the court, and everyone has said it for four years now that he has the potential to be better than Ross Nelter, Mike Brock, Brendan Votel, but every year he comes out he is the same player. Now he goes to a D2 school they can bulk him up get him more physical and get him in a everyday routine of playing with passion. Dan has great upsides he shoots it well from three, he will rebound, he is very athletic. I think the people around Dan could have done a better job with him..and yes that means coaching.

Interesting about this Brewer Kid..but some of you may need to make a trip out to Ockerman Middle School and watch their 6"6 8th grader play. He could play varsity and contribute right now for anyone. He should and could start varsity for Boone Co. The future looks bright for Boone out there. With Farris a Sophmore Mcfarland a Freshman and then this big kid right behind them smells like a regional contender down the road. Gray Middle school has Two 6"3 eighth graders also who are very good. The best over all class however will be Turkeyfoot/ Dixie's next years incoming class....

What doesnt make since to me is how Gray Middle School wins the 8th grasde championship like every year and Ryle is still not a dominating ball club. They have two 8th graders right now that are both 6"2 a peace. They have tremendous talent all the time but where does it all go to.

haha wow so what is this... 4 huge players from Beechwood, at this rate i expect Beechwood to win state. Obiviously you guys dont watch other games. Holy Cross- Ryan Busse who had to sit out last year Ludlow- Kyle York who can bring some heat and has alot of pop in the bat Conner- Jrs. 3rd baseman Shane Taylor and pither Ricky Harkins Cov. Cath- Larkin (heck of an athlete) and Blesser Brossart- Mutch i believe that is his name can bring the heat :flame: Beechwood- Curley and Muth of course we heard about already SK- Matt Geicone and Matt Cook will try to lead them with their pitching Scott- Scotty Best who was chosen w/ Curley to rep. for the jr. All-Star team along with Honorable mention Chris Conley if you dont like what you here post your other thoughts

that is the craziest thing i have heard in 6 months :jump:.. I dont think there will anyone to compete the the Defensive side of Scotts team. Including there pitching. I can't believe taht you said that when Scotts 3 or 4 only let up one run against you all?? hmmm thats crazy. :banana:

you are almost right about this one Knuckle, but the thing is Scott didnt lose there ace. Well i gues you can say Kyle Rabe had a good year but wasnt even the 2nd pitcher in the rotation to start off the year. Thats how strong the staff is. And pitching wins games. And as far as I know the only J.V pitcher i see taht will help out is Shawn Williams. I heard the kid is very talented and throws hard. I cant wait to see the Eagles!!

wow if you are going to talk about Scott's staff dont forget about Jr Arrin Bush. I bet the kid throws low 80's. But he gets out of control sometimes and gets behind. But yeah Scott will have a very solid staff. The best as i would say. I could name 7 on the top of my head. When you only lose one pitcher and lose to the regional champs in regionals you know you will be good pitching wise

probably not because i have never faced the kid, i did get a background check and a teammate said he did throw ATLEAST upper 80's so i bet he did clock 90 max sooner or later but i never saw him as a picther besides last year in regional champs which i thought Bleser did as good as Curley. I just saw Curley hit Bombs last year on offense so i guess you can say he is the best all-around player... does he also play 3rd?? how does he do there??

Dont forget ya have the 9th region coach of the year with Troy Roberts coming over from Scott with 23 or 24 wins along with a solid team D and O wise.. i looked for the eagles to go far but little experience in the 10 could hurt them or visversa

Only teams i really know about in the 10th is Brossart and the Camels, Scott beating both teams at a very close game, i believe up and comming Srs. beat both teams Swanson agianst brossart with Hr's by Chris Brann and GS Arrin Bush.. and Campbell was leading the whole game until the 5th with the final 5-1 with also good pitching by young pitching, everyone i mentioned is comming back so i hope to believe the Eagles will go far, one game at a time!!
