Then they would have played a 2-3 and Brossart would have had to shoot outside, which wasn't a good move. Maybe if 6'8" Keaton Belcher hadn't picked your 6'6" PG's pocket late in the game...... Maybe if Brad had been as good as Justin or Nathan..... Maybe if Kane had played all year he would have been able to handle the post late in the season.

Maybe if Brossart could keep the kids that live closer to Brossart and attend NCC or CCH or even CCHS for that matter, then maybe they would have beat PC.

OR maybe PC hadn't given his Mom a job......I think the 6'8" Kane Belcher would have had a lot more impact than he did in the last 2 years. Don't use the "Troy Cooper" arguement because nobody but Brossart has had a 6'5" strongman to push him around.

Honestly, stranger things have happened, but I think it's a 3 team race unless someone completely flies under the radar. 1. Mason 2. GRC 3. Brossart Brossart has had a LOT of good teams over the last 15 years and has only won the region (1 time(s)?). I'm going to say this year Brossart wins.

Is there any way both teams could lose? If there is that's what I want to happen!!!:lol: :lol: :D

Having 2 kids that can play for Mason's Middle School team can't possibly impress anyone.

Nathan Jones was on it. Who has ever played at Augusta or Deming could guard him on the post?

They may play 500 ball, but beating the press may be an issue. I hope that Kane is used a lot to beat the press.

They are preseason 1 this year and they probably will be next year too. That's a good start on 50%.

They aren't Augusta or Deming.

When I was a senior the best player on our 8th grade team didn't play basketball anymore. He was a state-runner up wrestler in the 189 division. He was about 6'4" and thought football players were weak because they wore pads. Basketball wasn't physical enough for him. Micah Riffe was the best 8th grader in the junior class. He played basketball a few years in high school but was the football QB. We also had a kid in our high school that was as good as anyone on our team. He was living in Campbell lodge because he stole a car. There were several guys that played football that were pretty good basketball players. When I was a senior I wouldn't have cracked the top five in kids that didn't play. I wasn't bad either. I was HUGE going about 310. Howeverr ask B-Man if I can shoot (a little at least) and I could touch the rim. When I played pick up games I made it a point to not let the other teams biggest guy get a board. I was too big to get around and I have played a lot of basketball. I played at Flour Creek in PC and I could compete with the best PC and CC had to offer, but I couldn't have played in the top five non-basketball players at CC????????

There are over 700 boys at CCHS right? Now think about the "intramural" team at PC a few years ago. They would have destroyed Augusta or Deming on an average year.

Camels would be 4-0. CC could typically take the kids who don't play basketball for the school and beat Deming and Augusta.

Losing isn't intimidating.

So if you're losing you should quit in order to not get pummeled. Biggs didn't have to take everyone out, but when they were killing people he should have given guys rests and gotton the seniors and JV guys minutes with the varsity. They only went 7 deep and they could have subbed without killing the team.

My problem was with player development issues. Granted those guys should have played too.

I would think most coaches realize that Biggs is gone. I was screaming for Kane Belcher to get minutes as a sophomore and he got nothing.

If it was a yearly rotation with Montomery they would have had it 15 out of 30 plus montgomery gets home court.

Either way I wasn't a fan of it and the coach that did it is gone.
