  1. If this holds up, St. X will have had an amazing week-end before tomorrow's Open House: Football blowout, undefeated regular season; regional cross-country win; soccer state championship, we hope; and national coverage on the hour-long CBS/NFL films special today on the X-T game.
  2. Way to go, Tigers. Keep up the focus, All Tiger fans are very proud of your hard work.

  4. Meade fans were out in full force, and St. X fans gave the Meade County band a huge ovation for their half-time show. Classy Meade band played toward the home team. X took a knee at the end, rather than run up the score. Great sportsmanship all-around. Tigers, keep your eyes on the prize - work for it!
  5. Second string in early on this one. Congrats, Tigers!
  6. Here's the website with purchase information. This book is just under $40 and is "coffee table" quality. Great Christmas gift for anyone who bleeds green-and-gold or green-and-white. Joe is a Trinity grad with St. X sons, and the book is balanced and interesting - highly recommended. http://www.thegameoftheyear.net/
  7. Why did the Rocks react so strongly to Clubberlangs posts? I believe it's because they know he is right. Trinity had a great game Friday night and won the Championship. The team deserves the accolades it has received. Congratulations, Shamrocks. But this hardly convinces me that St. X did not have the all-around better team in 2005. St. X played far from their best game last Friday. Everything that could go wrong for the Tigers did. Injuries are part of football, but Brent Curley's broken foot on the second or third play of the game interfered with the team's ability to establish a consistent passing or running attack during the game. There were questionable calls and spots that mostly went against the Tigers. If this year's St. X team and this year's Trinity team met ten times, St X would win 8-9 out of those meetings. Trinity was the best team on the night of December 2. But St. X is the best team in the state. The strong reaction of Trinity fans to Clubberlang's post is an effort to deny a truth that I suspect even they realize.
  8. Count me with XMan85--Coach Glaser has done more to earn Coach of the Year recognition than any other coach in the state. His team is motivated, his players understand the value of playing as a team, and the players respect the coach and know that he cares about them. It is time that Coach G.'s accomplishments be recognized.
  9. St. X began the season with games against Bowling Green and Lexington Catholic. Both teams were impressive, and I have thought throughout the season that the two teams would meet for the 3-A championship. The game should be a classic battle of offense against defense. Bowling Green will prevail, 14-13.
