Rackers no good...

How many threads did we have from Seahawk fans after the Super Bowl that would argue with you on this one. :sssh:
None from me
I think Alabama Larry is the only other real Seahawks fan on here, and I don't recall him starting any either.
I think it was mostly just people who were wanting to complain about the Steelers winning who posted them.

Hard to eliminate all the one loss teams, when it this point you never know how many undefeateds there's going to be... Could be 3, 2, 1, or maybe even none... The season still has a little while to go.
-
Sorry have no love lost for any NBA player... This league is always in the news for something.
About as much as the NFL... Maybe even less these days.
-
Have to understand the reasons why the family wasn't told on the plane though... That's not the place for someone to get news like that... ESPECIALLY when he was killed in a plane crash.
Does not make it any easier though.

How would I know it was coming? When the incident occured they filed NO criminal charges against him
Well, I knew it was coming... Again, you don't go firing guns in public places and have no consequences. It just does not happen.
-
At the time I said it, was he in legal trouble? hmmmmmm.... No
You had to know it was coming... You can't just go out firing guns in public places and not expect consequences...
Well, unless you're in the NBA.
-
Eli should have a good game...
-
In one way, yeah he could be in trouble but the legal way, he is not in trouble.
Hmmm...

My only question is.. What happens when somebody stomps the bird and wins? There goes the mystique... It's over.. Would it ever matter if anybody stomped the bird again?
-
ESPN reports saying his family might not even know, as they are travelling on another plane.
It really doesn't make it any easier on them, but knowing that they have no idea what's going on, and are continuing to live ther lives... It's heartbreaking.

How about the Bearcats players come out dressed like Colonel Sanders looking for a replacement of chickens?
What's that I hear? Is it the distant sound of crickets chirping?
-
My only real opinion on the matter is... That Louisville should attempt to dominate EVERY game... Play with the same fire whether someone stomps on the bird, or they don't... Make teams scared to come into your home, instead of just making them a little scared about where they want to start the pre-game warmup.
It just looks like everyone is saying "hey, you've still got a chance as long as you don't go stomping on the bird, but if you do that the game is over" and you need to be a little more intimidating than that.
Of course that probably makes 0 sense to anybody not named Hangman.

Anyone know the date MM is set for? Thanks
Friday night.

What's up with Tampa Bay? A few years back, they win the Super Bowl... The next year, they're horrible... Last year, they run through the league and make the playoffs... The next year, they're horrible.
Bengals roll.

Hopefully the Mets don't get caught up in the hype and try to trade for him... You've got all-stars at SS and 3B (Wright and Reyes) and both of them are only 23! I just hope they don't mess with that chemistry/youth for the big name.

I have no doubt that Torre's a great manager... My comment was in defense of him, and wondering how you can fire a guy who supposedly didn't have to do any thing. He didn't win all those World Series championships because he didn't know what he was doing, but he lost a few because he wasn't given the right resources... Great players are one thing, a great team is an entire different breed.

-
Torre himself admitted last week he didn't have to do anything but draw up the batting chart... Hard to blame the manager when with that concept, anyone can go coach the team.
-
Jackson is a moron... Argue the point all you want, but he is. Maybe I'd give him the benefit of the doubt if he didn't have this history of going into the crowd and punching innocent fans.. But now, he doesn't even register on the respect meter.

If the military age was 18, we would have to institute a draft.
Come again?

I did not say pat him on the back, I was just stating that he's not in trouble with the police.
I agree, it is not the publicity anybody would want. (Besides possibly TO)
I'm just saying...Maybe I'm smarter than this guy (and he can play basketball better than me, so I'll let him think it cancels out) BUT if I'd just got off probation... I wouldn't be putting myself in this type of situation. Wanna keep from getting into nutcase altercations? Don't go to strip clubs, don't start trouble, don't have weed in your car, and when you see a car flying towards you.. Move. It's a simple life.
-
In one way, yeah he could be in trouble but the legal way, he is not in trouble.
He's out firing guns in public places... I'm sure not planning to pat him on the back and say good job.
I'll give him self-defense... But it's not the publicity you want if you're the Pacers.

From reading the article, looks like Jackson was given probation in September 05.. for a year... so he would've JUST came off of probation, and he's already gettin in trouble again. Way to go!

I never had a doubt in my mind that the Bears would win. The whole game.. Just kind of waiting for them to take control...
That said, even though I knew they would win.. They should've lost.
