East Carter has very little offense. Stop Carroll and you stop East Carter. The Raider defense does run to the ball and they tackle fairly well. Belfry 35 East Carter 0

I think you are right. I know all of Russell's players really want this game. Also Jones has played with tremendous amount of heart.

I was never critical of any individual player. I said both teams played a very sloppy game cocerning Russell and Mason County. Thats it. As you are fond of saying this is a public forum for discussion. If you don't like it. Don't read it.

It was loud on the Russell side so the I'll take your word when the whistle blew. Either way it was a heck of a fake. I thought Jones was going to get him on that tying run. The kid can barely cut on that ankle. Two very good athletes.

I hope so too. If so it should be another exciting game.

Aside from the useless chatter between fans. This game will be between two very well coached teams. Raceland will know Russell's offense better than most teams around. I expect them to be very well prepared. These are two of the better programs and coaching staffs in this part of the state. Should be very entertaining for those who get to watch it. I think we can all agree on that.

These kids know exactly what they are doing and are probably harder on themselves than anybody else is. I think they can take some constructive criticism. :thumb::thumb::thumb::thumb::thumb::thumb:

It seems like maybe you should think for yourself and stick to what you know. The last game was sloppy and I don't think you will find anyone (player, coach or fan) that will say it wasn't. I never said it wasn't important to work on some things. That is exactly what I said I would like to see done. Rest Jones' ankle and give Cordle some snaps. Let Bailey and Bates get more carries. All to help the team. If its really that important to you then make or break your season on it. I don't really care. Good luck Friday night.

On the Cox run the whistle blew long before he broke into the clear. Most players had stopped. The pass interference was just that. The defender made contact way before the ball got there and there is know such thing as an uncatchable ball in high school. The fumble or incomplete pass was close. Its was a judgement call that usually half the stadium is not going to agree with. Jones never saw the rush comming from behind. But I'm not sure if his arm was going forward or not. It was that close.

I hope they do too.That would mean they are concentrating on getting better for the playoffs instead of worrying about this ridiculous game.

Russell beat you 45-18. You get Mason the last week of the season and I don't think it will be 7-6 this year.

I didn't say it wasn't taken seriously. But in the grand scheme of things it means nothing. I know it will be very emotional but Its really insignificant except for bragging rights. Personally I would rather have Jones with a healthy ankle in the play offs and some of the other players getting more involved.
