Konner's in Lexington now making a visit. I'm going to try and meet up with him in the next day or two.
-
2 different teams?
Exclude Jasper, And what was so different?
What about Bradley and Crawford?
-
I believe Gillispie calls it quits and UK hires Thad Matta. I guess we'll have to wait and see...
-
Trading Places- Eddie Murphy in the jail cell. "It ain't cool being no jive turkey so close to Thanksgiving...YEAH!"
-
If he went JUCO he may have had some problems with the standardized tests ACT or SAT. This happens all the time, they play a year or two JUCO, work on their grades and then go somewhere else.
Knowing Konner, I seriously doubt that was the case.
-
I hope Konner accepts the offer. He and my youngest son were best buds when Konner lived in London several years ago. It would be cool for them to reunite at UK.
-
On another note, the officials did a nice job in this one. Thought I'd point that out since they've been the subject of so much conversation in some of the other games.
-
Congrats to the Hounds, they came out determined to exorcise those demons. Josh Smith came out like a man on a mission. He had Corbin's first 10 points. I believe SL's limited bench hurt them in this game. With a break or two, Corbin could make a little run at Rupp. I'd love to see it.
-
I agree, the officiating was horrible, really bad. Did anyone notice that one official made at least 75% of the calls, regardless where they occurred on the floor? IMO Corbin was about to lose this game, and Coach P backed the ball out and regrouped. I think this move saved Corbin from the upset.
-
South wins this one. Corbin is worn out physically and South has the "bluff" on Corbin. The only thing that could do South in is their lack of depth.
-
I was a little suprised that Spurlock didn't exploit the Hooker/Gilbert matchup more. It was clear to me that Gilbert from SL could not come close to staying with Hooker. Had Spurlock run more things for Hooker, I believe the outcome might have been different. jmo

Aparently Billy D. is very upaet with the poor famount of fans at the home games.
I won't believe this until we get a report from Billy D's banker. :ohbrother:

Anyone watch this show on HBO. Foul language but man it's hilarious:lol:
Can't wait till Sunday for the next episode:popcorn:
I agree on all counts.:thumb:

2-8 or 3-7 in the regular season. Wins over Jackson, Clay, and Perry.
What would your outlook have been had they hired Roark?
-
I'm hoping that Caoch Larkey can get our boys stronger (& more Physical). It's been my opinion that most every team NL plays is stronger and more physical than NL.
-
Congratulations to Coach Larkey and the NL football program. I think this is an exciting hire, I expect very good things out of the NL program in the very near future. Good job Mike and Jimmy in your patience in finding the right fit.

I know the all of these will be answered, But I had heard this before and heard it again today, former East Jesimine and Dunbar coach, Coach Hensley has been interested. Does anyone know if he was even interviewed?
I think so.
-
He's beautiful. Congratulations, MT.
-
So both SL and NL were paid to have these teams play at SL??
Yes
-
Congrats, still hard for me to believe that you're gonna be a grandpa. You still act like a teenager! lol
-
Well what do you think the price should have been? I mean South Laurel had to pay for real good money for the teams to come in and it was a good turnout overall i thought. If the students couldnt get in because of price then they could've watched them online, as i believe they were streamed online for free.
South Laurel didn't pay a dime. Both SL & NL received money to help put it on. A private company put on the the event.

I have two and get them frequently:
1) I have just gotten my college report card and realized that I did not show up for a class the entire semester and flunked.
2) I am in some type of confrontation in which I have to pull my weapon and do not have the strength to pull the trigger and am killed.
Have had them for years and years and assume I'll just have them forever.
That's scary, I've had both of these dreams from time to time. Only difference is on #1 I realize I never went to class when I show up to take the final, not when I get the report card.
-
Yes i agree it shouldn't cost a high school student $20 to get in to watch there team play but it was the only way it could be done. South Laurel had to make some money to be able to bring these top teams in. If they dont make any money then the event probably wont last. If you really think about it though $4 to watch your high school team play and 3 top 10 nationally ranked teams is really good! I know at my school's games they charge $3 for students so not much difference!
Not to bear a dead horse, but... No, it is not the only way it could have been done. Let students in for a discounted price. It's not right that several students that wanted to watch their team play could not because of price.

Yes I am a high school student, but my hometown team (GRC) didnt even play in the event, I went with some of my friends. We drove a little over an hour to watch this event and it was well worth it! We all said that it was a great experience and we plan on doing it next year! :thumb: Did you attend?
Yes, I went, it was a great event, top notch teams and atmosphere. My ONLY complaint is the cost for the kids to get in. I talked with many NL & SL students who normally go to the games that didn't because of the high cost. It shouldn't cost a student $20 to watch their school team play in their home gym. They could have presold to students a discounted ticket and let more kids attend the event. JMO

I've been told Konner also has offers from a few Big 12 schools.
