GT, you posted this on 12/6:
I can tell you WITHOUT QUESTION that BK nor his agent have spoken with anyone at ND or any third party back channel representing ND. So these "sources" are "claiming" that BK was on the phone hammering out a deal while he and his team were busing it home from Pitt. That's funny...Now you're saying that he spoke with ND after the Navy loss.
Which is correct? Is your source better for the second statement than the first?

When last years #1 defense doesn't protect five 4th quarter leads, then they should be talked about, but I will say last nights offense was horrible...
Sorry Bud, but that's THIS YEAR's defense your talking about.
-
I'm really tired of hearing about Pitt's defense. What is really shocking to me is that they could not score more than 6 points on CLEVELAND.
-
Excellent hire by UL. This is one jealuous UK fan.
Sidenote: Anyone else think his voice doesn't go with his appearance? I thought he sounded like Elmer Fudd.
-
If true he and his agent lied to a whole lot of people last week...
And this shocks you? Proves my point in the other thread to a "t".
-
When that someone is very tight with his agent and talked to him extensively yesterday during the game, yes I can...
I guess that's where we differ. When I say "without question" I'm saying it as a witness, not from a third party. Also, BK needs to reconsider his choice in agents if he'd talk with someone who talks to someone, who talks to someone...
-
At least respect that he isn't spinning all of the rumors and non truths that are coming from everywhere.
I do, I just felt that saying that he knew "without question" was a bit much.
-
Is this what Mike Tomlin meant when he said his team would "unleash hell in the month of December"?
-
He nor his agent have told me nothing, but there are people out there on the national scene that are very tied in with the agents and know what is going on outside of the typical media rumor mill. I fully expect that at some point last night his agent did listen to what ND had to say and the process started from there. Laugh all you want, I stand firmly behind what I have said...
So when someone on the national scene tells you so, it makes it where "you can tell us, without question"? Wow...

I'm sorry, but I find this laughable. GT, I know you follow the UC program as close as anyone, but why would you think that BK would tell you if he or his people have spoken to ND? I'd say that would be something that he'd not share with anyone with media ties until it was a done deal. As for the phone thing, was his agent on the bus as well?
He may not head to ND (I sincerely hope he doesn't), but I'm not believing all the smoke that is coming out of the UC camp.

This is huge IMO. Does anyone know if Sanders the fros PG starts for SL?
Not at this time. He'll get some PT, but SL is very deep at guard this year.
-
Tough road loss for SL. I heard people questioning why SL would even play Buckhorn, I guess we see now. Coach Wright knows playing good quality competition on the road will do nothing but make his SL team better down the stretch. I bet it was a long, quiet, bus ride home

GRC is good...

I don't know if I had a better view or we watched different plays but he made some nice blocks as well, for his size he can move. He was in less than 7 plays. Remember debut, this kid is going to be a stud. For you all down on him we will see how things turn out for him, save this thread if you want.
I'm not down on him at all. I was just shocked that someone said they thought he looked good. Everyone in my section was watching him and thought the same thing...
-
I specifically watched Smith on 2 or 3 plays & he didn't do much. To be fair, each run was to the opposite side & Smith never quit.
To me, as long as a lineman doesn't have his number called or doesn't stand out, he plays an alright game. This was Smith's 1st NFL action. I thought he played well.
You are correct. They ran away from him every play he was in.
-
Andre Smith got in... he looked alright, good footwork. I believe this was his first game i'm hanging onto my stub!
Are you kidding me? I had the binocs on him on every play he was in, and I thought he looked terrible. I'm not a hater at all, just my honest opinion. He was blocking air on every play that I saw.
If you want, I'll be happy to send you my stub. Just give me the address!

Anyone know if I lose my '10 season tickets if I don't preorder the playoff tickets? The literature didn't state so but I think I should call to find out.
NO. If you don't want your playoff tickets this year, pm me and we'll work out something.
-
Congrats! Please promise me that little GT won't grow up to be a on/off the bandwagon Michigan fan like his daddy...
-
I do. He has to work on bringing the ball down. Every miss is an overthrow. He is a true freshman and will be fine.
Does nobody remember how Woodson looked as a frosh/soph? Do we only remember him as a jr/sr? I clearly remember seeing Andre' taking a TON of heat for his play early on this very board. Newton is a true freshman, going thru his trial by fire in the SEC. He will be fine.
I'm with you, MT. :thumb:
Newton will be very good in time.
I am mad as heck that we didn't put Cobb in the wildcat and go for it on 4th down. I honestly think that was our very best chance to win.

The place would look empty? Ummm, are we doing a photoshoot for some magazine, so you want it filled up? I just don't understand that, but to each their own. And, Way to far from the floor. I wasn't at the games last night, BUT during the Harlem Globetrotter event, there were seats on the floor? I'm confused.
By the way, IMO, it will be held there.
Les, It's not about the number of people there, it's about atmosphere. I don't think that the Arena would have the atmosphere of a school gym.
Also, I'd say people are ok with paying $3.75 for a pop at a Harlem globetrotters game, but not so much at a high school game.
And you're right, to each their own...
-
I'm against it. Not the atmosphere of a gym. The place would look empty for most matchups, and the crowd is way to far from the floor. If more seating is needed, either only allow gyms of certain size to host, or move it to Cumberland's gym.
-
Great place to host the 13th region tournament.
I disagree 100%. I thought it was a good idea prior to watching the games yesterday. Too big and crowd is way too far from the floor.
$3.75 is way too much for a pop at a high school scrimmage.

Not surprising at all...
