Why did Bob Domine's antics on the sideline many years ago get mentioned when his question to Coach Petrino this year after the first game was forgotten? That was not only biased but downright mean-spirited and idiotic. Well I wonder whose shoulder Bob is crying on now that Nick was not only the leader of the victorious ROCKS, but was named Most Valuable Player!! Boo hoo Bob!! Also, he was on the sidelines that time before because of his press credentials not as the father of a player. His ranting was as unprofessional at that time as it was this time. GO ROCKS!! Keep up the great work, Jodie!! :thumb:

xtiger-- thanks for the specific information on Brent's injuries. From the stands, the limping became more and more apparent as the game continued. This was soon erased by the fear when he stayed down for so long, face down-it appeared, after the extremely hard hit. I think that Rockmom was also reacting to the post that talked about his being "knocked out" but I think that it was just a reference to him being knocked out of the game. He did not lose consciouness, did he? Anyways, props to him for his efforts to continue in his last high school game. :thumb:

rockmom-- I'm glad you and the others were going "wild" in the luxury box... I was doing my own celebrating in the section right next to our students. I was lucky enough to be situated at the 5 yard line area where all of the late action took place. It was fantastic to slap 5s with the alums, fans and the students!! PRICELESS!! :thumb:

xtiger-- great post and kudos to your son and the rest of the Tigers. Your words echo the thoughts of many of us who enjoyed the accomplishments of all of our sons. Well done!! :thumb:

SHAMROCK69 and I had the distinct pleasure of being seniors when the 1st State Championship was won in 1968. My son, who is a freshman at U of L, won 3 during his 4 years at Trinity and was a member of the basketball team that won the 7th Region in basketball and played in the Sweet 16 in Rupp,as well as having a sensatioal 29-4 year last year. My youngest son is a senior this year and also saw the football ROCKS win 3 out of the 4 years he has been at Trinity. When we won the 1st championship, it galvanized the school like nothing before and the Class of '69 remains extremely tight because of it. The Rockin' to Rupp and the basketball team's success brought the student body together. But winning last night over a highly respected defending state champion, just might take the cake. It was a great ride and the coaches and team should forever be proud of their collective accomplishment!! :thumb: TRINITY FOREVER--- GO ROCKS!!!

Congrats to both X and ROCKS for completing super seasons and an extremely close and exciting championship game. It was especially rewarding to the ROCKS since they were so thoroughly thrashed by the defending state champs in September. Since my son is a senior this year and I was able to share his coming home celebration at school this afternoon after his Senior Retreat, it was a Fantastic way to end the day. I took both of my sons to the game and although they went their separate ways when we got there, attending a T vs. X game, especially for the State Championship is priceless!! A special congrats to the ROCKS' defense and to the guys I know very well-- Chris Wood and Elliott Deweese....way to ROCK THEM!! GO ROCKS!! #16!! :thumb: :dancingpa
